If it is the letter "x", then that module has been formatted for older versions of e-Sword which only run on Microsoft Windows devices.

Hi Olaf,

Where resources have the "x" at the end of the extension, it is still the current default extension for e-Sword PC, and not merely for the (as you put it) "older versions of e-Sword." So, that has not changed!!! Even when buying resources for e-Sword PC, by default you will download the file which has the "x" bit at the end of the extension. When you download a premium resource using the download manager in either e-Sword LT, or HT or Android, you will get the file with the extension ending with an "i".

 

So what you say there is only partially true in where e-Sword for PC can read some resources made for the other platforms. But that's as far as it goes.
