If you are trying to use version 13 of e-Sword for Windows you need to have Windows Media Player installed and active on your system. Version 13 contains access to audio recordings of certain bible translations from Bible.is, a ministry of Faith Comes By Hearing. The audio recordings require Windows Media Player in order to function

Try to run directly from C:\Program Files (x86)\e-Sword\e-Sword.exe and not from a copy which you made of the file. When I ran from e-Sword-1300.exe, which is a copy I had made, I got a warning:
"Windows Security. Unauthorised changes blocked. Controlled folder access blocked e-Sword-1300.exe from making changes.Click to see settings."
When I run, instead, from the installed file, "e-Sword.exe" then the warning does not occur.
