Hey guy's

 

Over the years since I have been using E-Sword I have downloaded modules from many sources, this is one of them "Restored New King James Version - RNKJV.exe"

 

It appears to be a 1982 NKJV or at least that is how I have been using it.

 

Does anyone know anything about this module?

 

I have hunted everywhere for several days trying to find the 1982 NKJV for E-sword or any other Bible app, PDF, or Android, the module above is the only thing I have found, but there is a module of the same name

 

Restored Names King James Version - RNKJV.exe 1.0

 

That is a download from here.

 

I tried to hunt the the app I have online and all I am finding is the restored names KJV
leaving me wondering if the file I have is mislabeled and not an NKJV but rather the restored names KJV.

 

Can anyone help me to sort this out please.

I have the RNKJV that is a Sacred Name Bible.

And It is clearly based on the KJV1769

The "Restored New King James Version" does not exist.

 

Some sample verses:

Mat 1:1  The book of the generation of Yahushua the Messiah, the son of David, the son of Abraham.

Mar 1:1  The beginning of the evangel of Yahushua the Messiah, the Son of YHWH;
Joh 1:1  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with YHWH, and the Word was YHWH. 

Joh 3:16  For YHWH so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life

Mat 16:16  And Simon Kepha answered and said, Thou art the Messiah, the Son of the living Elohim.

Act 3:17  And now, brethren, I wot that through ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers.

Rom 1:3  Concerning his Son Yahushua the Messiah our Saviour, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;

Rev 22:21  The favour of our Master Yahushua the Messiah be with you all. amein. 

 

But it has not the Comma Johanneum and it has "who" instead of "God" in 1Ti 3:16 and  "Passover" in Act 12:4

Only 3x Church (Mat 16:18-19), 0x "Holy Ghost"(used always "Holy Spirit" ) and 1x lord (2Ch 2:15).

Thank you, I used the compare function of E-Sword, and had installed the restored Names KJV, it and the one I thought was an NKJV are identical.

 

The file name of the exe installer is "Restored New King James Version - RNKJV.exe"

 

Does anyone know where I can buy a bible app, module for an app, PDF, or otherwise electronic 1982 NKJV the one that has the triquetra on the front.

 

It seems Thomas Nelson has wiped the internet of that version, I have download four free NKJV PDF's and they are all the same.

 

I am willing to pay for any bible software/app to get a 1982 version, the modern ones say 1982, but they are revised after 1982.

 

I have hunted everywhere and I cannot find what I want, the only other way is to buy the 1982 with the Triquetra on the front from E-bay and do quotes from the book itself, a tedious process, when having it in an app, I can copy and paste directly.

The 1982 NKJV is available for an Android bible app called MyBible.

Thank you for you reply.

I have Koplayer an android emulator on my laptop, download My Bible app and I have looked where you can add Bible modules, I have the bible downloaded from your link, but am not seeing how to import it into the My Bible app.

 

I copied the 2 files to the Koplayer directory, then with the my bible app open in Koplayer dragged and dropped the files onto it which made a red bar appear doing something.

 

restarted the my bible app but no go.

Side question. What are some example difference between the 1982 and revised one that still has 1982 as the date of the text.

In the images at the bottom it clearly show 1982 as the copyright date. If anything had been changed, surely the date would have reflected that?

The one I bought is a later revision with many many changes, the earlier version reads closer to the KJV, while the later revision reads closer to the nsab

 

Like I said the change between the first edition and the next are many, the first edition they used the Textus Receptus, the later revisions they switched to more alexandrinus texts.

 

It is classic bait and switch, they made the first one so that people would not baulk to much, then snuck in their revisions later once people were used to the first changes making them more receptive to the real changes they originally wanted but knew would not be accepted.

 

Having the the first printing and a later revision allows me to compare them and see/show all of the changes.

As it turns the MyBible module is not in fact the 1982 text but rather the revised text sorry for the misinformation
