Tooltip NT (2019.10.07) deletes all hyperlinks after saving topx files.

No matter if links are to files or links to in-page bookmarks.

What am I doing wrong?

I don't think you are doing anything wrong. It appears that the program is broken in this area, for topx. This is mainly bad news because the author of the tool died and there was no provision to pass on the development to anyone else as far as I am aware.

Same appears to apply to reading in .topx files to ToolTipTool NT

If  anyone else can confirm the issue it would be good to know.

Thanks for the reply, Jon.

That's a shame.  Automatic verse tooltipping at the expense of losing all bookmarks and links. There are so many other advantages to using Tooltip NT (like splitting tables or anchoring graphics) that, as far as I know, cannot be done with just the e-Sword application. Oh well, I'll have to adjust.

As a workaround simple copy the whole topic to a blank Tooltiptool, and make your table edits etc and paste back to e-Sword. I found it retains the hyperlinks. Not ideal but without T4 what would you do?

Actually copying just the table over to Tooltip NT, making the changes and copying it back, works.

Even tooltipping verses works and is retained.

Just don't "save" anything.

I can make that work.

Thanks for your help, Jon.
