My Android devices previously did not have any kind of file explorer. I installed the free file explorer app from the market called ES File Explorer today. I then downloaded a file from www.biblesupport.com from the Android internet browser to my Android device.

I then opened the file that appeared at the top of the screen and extracted it. This step is not necessary because the latest release of MySword will extract it for you.

You then need to find the file on your device and cut and paste it into your MySword folder using ES File Exploerer app.

Then exit out of MySword and reopen and the file should be there.

Others probably have done this already. I am relatively new to Android and did not know file explorer exixted.

It is strange that not all android devices come with some kind of file manage. I just realized that the used tablet I bought a couple of weeks ago came with a file manager by default. My wife smart phone and my smart phone did not come with any kid of file explorer so I did not think android had one. If it did, I figured this would come by default.

The ES File explorer app works well for me. If you do not like this one, two other apps suggested by the MySword developers are AndExplorer or Astro.

Wow! Thanks for this post. I got a a tablet for Christmas from a friend and I thought I was going to loose my mind trying to get some modules installed. Thanks
It does seem like they would have this kind of basic stuff already installed.

You are welcome.

There was an increase in MySword module downloads last night. I suspect you are not the only one to get a tablet for Christmas :).

Blessings,
Peter

In terms of usability, the trend is towards devices that are actively user-hostile, being geared to prevent users from utilizing the computing power in their devices.

Trying writing software that targets the iPad, on an iPad. On both the Apple ][ and original IBM PC, one could write hardware for those devices, on those devices.
