This is the reason why I edited my post. Because in standard HTM are the " used.
But MySword has his own tag rules.

Did the original source use Aramaic letter script? Or the same kind of transliteration?
Let it be; because there are more issues with Aramaic script than with Hebrew script.
The Aramaic use the same 22 letters as Hebrew but the script looks more like Arabic.
Mat 1:1 from the Peshi.ta
ܟܬܒܐ ܕܝܠܝܕܘܬܗ ܕܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܒܪܗ ܕܕܘܝܕ ܒܪܗ ܕܐܒܪܗܡ ܀
And is also from right to left unlike the transliteration that you used.
The $ is the letter Shin and is not the same letter as Samech that is transliterated as S
But your priority is that your module works on MySword.
So ignore it for now.

I would suggest that you try that pronunciation scheme in MySword. Or better yet, see if there is a standardized pronunciation scheme(s) for Syriac...or if not, make a scheme that uses standard characters and the few diacritic characters needed to complete it out...like Hebrew uses. Of course you don't have to do that right away but change it later as the need arises....personally, I wouldn't like using the (,) and other for pronunciation.
::Edit::It seems to me that what you have is a sort of old ascii code for Syriac but it might be found out with further investigation.
If that is the case, it could be then transcribed to utf8 English characters that would be a more meaningful English transliteration.
Of course this is all speculation on my part.

I don't know linkingto.
Teth + and Taw T are both T
I should replace + by Th if you want to use linkingto.
