That might not be the latest version of Tooltip the last version released is 2020.04.11 this version does have an issue with text controls.

So the best choice is this version: ToolTipTool NT 2019.10.07 both versions are available here on bible support

Wish we could get to the bottom of this issue of installation that some folks have.

  1. Can you tell us what operating system you are on.
  2. What anti virus you have
  3. What version of e-Sword you have installed.

If you right click on the installer file for Tooltip 20200411 and look at properties, does it show "Unblock" check box at the bottom? If so have you unblocked it?

When unblocked have you tried to install as administrator?

Thanks Stephen for proving there isn't anything wrong with the installer.

Any comments Tj Higgins?

That was on Windows 10, so no problem there.

I got it working on Windows 11, so no problem there.

It depends on what version of the text controller (TX) is installed on Windows 10 if the controller is not up to date then that last version of Tooltip may not work.

The installer installs the text control in the C:\Program Files (x86)\e-Sword ToolTip Tool NT folder. So that is not the issue. It puts it in a subfolder called TX28
