Thank you for listing the IOS compatible modules.  As a Mac user and a new E Sword user, I'm bummed a bunch of modules won't work (maps specifically) but what do you do.

Recently, somebody has been adding Mac/iOS versions to the available modules on this site, so now it seems that most of the stuff on this site is now compatible with Apple devices, or at least, it's getting that way. This person is doing a big favour for the Mac/iOS e-Sword community (as well as the new Android e-Sword users) and deserves thanks.

I agree about it being a bummer not having a Mac equivalent of the graphics files like maps. It's too bad Rick Meyers didn't add a graphics viewer in the Mac version of e-Sword like there is in the Windows version. The only workaround is to make a reference book instead, using the map images in the book.

A few years ago (as to actually how long ago, just can't remember) I shared an idea of where members can download a resource of any particular resource for a particular platform by simply click on the image. Moreover, if it was implemented, it certainly would save a heap of time trying to find it.

Now I reckon that something like this (as seen in the above example) would be a real hit, and make life a lot easier.

Your thoughts.

The problem with your idea is that the various equipment manufacturers have deliberately hidden the actual links to where they save and store files in their devices. They do not want to make it easy for hackers to access the various folders and files on a device.

You will also experience increased security options on files to be downloaded for Windows on the Windows 11 Operating system. This is why, for example, the Fire Tablets sold by Amazon expect that the user will use applications available from the Amazon App Store, and why there are so many different options to be able to send files to that device, to authorize access to the Google App Store on the Apple Fire Tablets running the Android OS run on a continuously modified version of their OS.

Apple has previouly kept the Mac for running the Apple variety of Operating System. In South Africa the new Mac is typically R10,000 cheaper than a comparable Windows PC, and the Mac is willing to allow Windows to run on it, as a second option. This is because the M2 chip is proprietary to the Apple devices. The Apple M2 chip was unveiled at Apple's WWDC 2022 keynote on June 6, 2022, and it's the inaugural chip in Apple's second generation of bespoke silicon.

Hi Olaf

What you were looking at is something that actually happens here on BibleSupport every day - resources being downloaded. All what you see in the idea/suggestion I proposed is nothing more than to show what resources are also available for e-Sword (and MySword) on other platforms, including Windows.

So, when you say,

The problem with your idea is that the various equipment manufacturers have deliberately hidden the actual links to where they save and store files in their devices. They do not want to make it easy for hackers to access the various folders and files on a device.

is actually false because all it does, is it takes you to the webpage of that particular e-Sword (whether Windows or iOS/macOS or Android) or MySword (Android) resource with the added bonus for that particular platform. And that is all!

As to the rest of your response, it is also a fallacy because we are not dealing with downloading software. Moreover, e-Sword LT, HT, X, and Android has a built in Download Manager in where one can download resources onto his/her device/computer. And it would also be the same in South Africa. And how do I know that?! Easy - other South Africans don't have any issue with downloading and installing resources from here or from the e-Sword Download Manager. You seriously can't make this up!!!

Another thing, when you buy resources for e-Sword (irrespective of the platform), guess where you buy and download it from?! Want to know?! eStudySource.com! No kidding. Not from Windows Store. Not from Google's Play Store, and not from the Apple Store.

Hope this information has enlightened you, and you are now aware of how it all works.

Blessings,

I understand your frustration with the download issue on your iPad and MacBook Air. I recommend contacting the website's support team for technical assistance to resolve this. Additionally, if you require guidance on integrating the downloaded content into your eSword app on your iPad or any other location, consider seeking professional assistance from a business management homework help service. They can provide expert advice to ensure a seamless transfer and help you utilize the downloaded material effectively.
