Does anyone know of a Good Baptist bible forum? I have looked at few and they are filled with Calvinists that just want to argue about everything.

I like to discuss the bible but am to old to argue about.

So if you think you know of one that could be interesting just put a link here or better just drop me a note.

Thanks in advance

WOW, how to stoke the fire, Glory to God. :P

Well, considering I'm not a Baptist, I have no idea. But I do have a good idea. See if you can find a Pentecostal/Charismatic Baptist one, and see you go with that. Calvinists generally aren't into speaking in tongues.

If that isn't stoking the fire even more, then I dunno what is.

Gotta love a good stir.

I seriously just had to do that. I couldn't help myself and could not resit this. What a way to go. Praise God!

Trust you found this information helpful and enjoyed a good laugh.

Blessings,

Not trying to stoke fires, just stating the reality that I have experienced.

You find many that are more concerned about protecting the image of Calvin than the character of God.

As I said discussion not argument.

Let the young pups tire themselves out pulling on the chain.

I understood from the beginning as to what you were wanting, and as commendable as that is, I am also well aware of what the chances are of trying to find something like that is next to nigh impossible due to the fact the waters will always get muddied despite one's best intention. Simply human nature is what it is. Some people just can't help themselves.

That said, my best guess is that to find something that is not Calvinisticly slanted then one needs to go toward the Wesleyan side of the fence. But hey, that at best is just a crazy idea.

Me, well I don't go with all that much of denominational type stuff anymore, irrespective of what it is because despite who or what it is, its just so easy to poke holes in its, and the continuous arguments tend to never cease to end. Go organic, best thing anyone can do and eee the rest.

Ya I am starting to see that all people want to do is fight for their view. Bible study seems to be a thing of the past.

If people would fight half as hard to defend the character of God as they do to prop up their pet views we would have a real revival on our hands.

You might give baptistboard.com  It is a large board with all sorts of subsections - you should be able to find something you like.  Yes, there are calvinists but they have some sharp opposition as well.  I like their news/politics section to keep up on sides of new issues.

There are commercials until you join but after awhile they tend to not bother you :-)

I have been on BB for a while now and will say that they can get a little heated over there. Could be because I will not come around to their views.

Dr. David S. Thomason is an Independent Baptist preacher. As such, he is a fundamental, conservative, evangelical Baptist. The material on his web site will broadly reflect that philosophy of ministry.

It is not baptist material I am looking for it is a good baptist bible forum. I have looked at a number of them and most just want to have flame wars. Not my thing.

Good suggestion, I will drop Dr.Dave a line he just might know of some good ones.

It is too bad that a few do indeed just want to engage in flame wars. A great deal of potentially great learning opportunities get lost to the conflagration.
