Hi, I'm back on a new thread and I guess I have to rewind on my experience with this tool.

I installed the latest version, 2020.04.11, and installed it on my laptop running Windows 10 Version 20H2 (OS Build 19042.928). Being so excited about this tool I (quickly) read portions of the documentation (specially the Bible Modules section) then immediately plunged into creating a module.

I did a "Module(3) | Module Define Variables | BBLX - Bible file" and it gave me something strange (please view attached image01.png file). I then corrected the entries and typed in some verses and then did a "Save BBLX Bible Module - book chap:verse" and gave me error messages for description, abbreviation, comments, and font only (Please see attached error message.png file). The corrected rtf file generated by doing a "Save as" rtf is also attached.

I am stumped. Please help.

Thank you!

Thank you!

The Error message tells you exactly what's wrong, and then tells you what to do. So fixing that is not a biggie.

#define description= This is the best thing that ever happened since ice cream was invented.

So that is all you need to do.

As for the rest, I have no idea.

Blessings,

Open the saved rtf file you have uploaded here, in ToolTipTool NT, and then "Save BBLX Bible Module - book chap:verse"

It will build just fine.

There was no need to put ÷ at each define. In case of a Bible, you just need the one ÷ where the Bible text starts, exactly as per the .rtf file you uploaded here.

Actually, the extra ÷ and hard returns were auto-generated when I did a "Module Define Variables" so I edited them out then did a "Save BBLX Bible Module - book chap:verse". This is part where I got the error messages saying #define missing... :-(

So you get the error message and I don't...

What language of Windows are you using? If not English, I suggest to try changing the Locale to English and try again.

Ok I suggest you start with a blank document in ToolTipTool and first add the define variables using the menu(3). Change the values of each one as needed. Now add a couple of verses, and save BBLX module.

Does that work?

Nope, it doesn't. I installed the 2019 Tooltip and it was fine. I then updated E-sword to v13 and 2019 Tooltip still worked. Then, I re-installed Tooltip Tool NT and "magically" all the issues vanished. :-) Thanks for the support.
