When I initially installed e-Sword, I received a 1310 error, which after a lot of research and using different approaches finally solved by deleting old versions of e-sword in the App Data --> Local --> Downloaded Installation Folders.  Also found it had to be set as an encrypted folder.  I got e-Sword 13 up and running and installed the newly formatted modules from the e-sword official site.  It worked.  But when I added the 3rd party modules I had collected (versions 9 or above, all with the *.bbtx, cmtx, etc. extensions), it locked up on restart.  I tried this as both a user and and as a windows administrator, to no avail.

I have received no response from e-sword to my queries.

An easy fix would be to go back to the earlier e-Sword version 12 and forget the new version.  However, the e-sword site no longer offers them, and I didn't save an install copy earlier.

Can anyone help me out of this predicament?  I am dead in the water.  G. Rundle.

What is the name of your OS? Windows 10?

Is it the 64bit version? Then are the modules in

C:\Program Files (x86)

1) Move all your modules to another map.

2) disinstall e-Sword.

3) Use Ccleaner to remove every track of e-Sword

https://filehippo.co...nload_ccleaner/

clean the "registry" and  use "custom clean"  to clean system and "Old prefetch data"

4) restart your computer

5) Look if Windows Media Player is installed

6) Install e-Sword 13

7) if this not work then follow the instructions of this link.
