This post has been written to help e-Sword users understand how the new audio bible feature in e-Sword works and what is required to make it function.
The first thing required is to download and install e-Sword 13 on your PC this is the only version of e-Sword that has the new audio bible feature. The only major change to e-Sword is the addition of a play/pause button located on the Bible view's toolbar.
You must also have Windows Media Player installed on your PC as well.
The audio bibles for e-Sword use are made available from the website Bible.is which is a ministry of Faith Comes by Hearing. NOTE: You do not need to download any audio bibles for this function to work
Presently audio bibles are available for just the following English translations of the bible:
KJV
KJV-BRG
ESV
CEV
WEB
NRSV
Audio bibles are also available for certain Spanish bible translations.
You must have the e-Sword bible modules listed above installed in e-Sword for the audio bible function to work when you select one of the translations listed above in the bible view in e-Sword 13, the new audio play/pause button will become active. If select any other translation other then ones listed above, the play/pause button will be greyed out.
With one of the above translations selected in e-Sword's bible view, press the play/pause button to here the audio for that translation
