e-Sword for Microsoft Windows version 13.0.0 released 2021-03-26.
Available from e-Sword: Free Bible Study for the PC | Downloads (e-sword.net) = https://www.e-sword.net/downloads.html

In HELP the first option explains that the keyboard shortcut is Function key "F1" to access "E-Sword User's Guide".

Help, About, an extra paragraph indicates that All audio Bibles are generously provided by Bible.is, a ministry of Faith Comes By Hearing. More information can be found at www.bible.is

Some Setup e-Sword requirements for e-Sword version 13.0.0 on the Microsoft PC.
SermonAudio requires that Windows Media Player is selected in the Windows Legacy components of the Microsoft (64-bit) and (32-bit) operating systems.
For Windows 10 (64-bit), from Start > Settings > Apps and Features, select "optional features", then browse down and select "More Windows features". This allows the user to Turn Windows features on or off. To turn a feature on, select its checkbox. To turn a feature off, clear its checkbox. A Filled box means that only part of the feature is turned on.
Select "Legacy Components" with the associated "Direct Play" option also to be selected.
Select "Media Features" with the associated "Windows Media Player" also to be selected.
These are required in e-Sword version 12 and version 13 to play audio and video sermons and bible files from your local machine and from the internet.
The Windows Media Player is located in This PC > Windows (C:) > Program Files (x86) > Windows Media Player > wmplayer.exe with various other associated files and subfolders.

If the Windows Media Player is not installed and activated on the PC, then e-Sword version 13.0.0 will not run.

This information could be added to the notes on e-Sword User's Guide, page 3, and mentioned in "Chapter 18: Sermon Audio.com"
This information could be added to "News", please. Rick Meyers has added an entry in the Frequently Asked Questions folder on https://www.e-sword.net
Please refer to https://www.e-sword.net/faq.html for answer to the question "I JUST INSTALLED E-SWORD 13 AND IT WILL NOT START!"

HOW TO LOAD WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER for Microsoft (64-bit) operating system, Windows 10, so that this will be loaded in This PC > Windows (C:) > \Program Files\Windows Media Player\ folder with files and subdirectories; and will also be loaded in This PC > Windows (C:) > \Program Files (x86)\Windows Media Player\ folder with files and subdirectories.

Would be nice to have version 12 available to reinstall for those of us who "upgraded" and now cannot get it to work due to this issue.  I cannot install Windows Media player on my work computer.

Hi all, this procedure won't work for Windows 10 Enterprise with the latest patches.

Admins are blocking windows media player for security reasons, so there's no way to install it.

The only way was to uninstall 13 and install 12.2

I wonder what part of Windows Media player is used: it it the codex or is it in the registry.

Can you install Combined Community Codec Pack with Media Player Classic.

Media Player Classic is a kind of fork of Windows Media Player.

https://www.free-cod...home_cinema.htm

This codec pact is easy to install and to uninstall and there is Media Player Classic

.C:\Program Files\Combined Community Codec Pack 64bit\MPC

I ask you if you can install Combined Community Codec Pack with Media Player Classic to test if e-Sword 13 works.

Katoog,

I had a look Codecs.com and I was blown away by the amount of freeware on that site, of which there are a lot of programs that I've seen and can use. So, I did the best thing I could do, and that is bookmarked that website on my web browser for both future reference and to download some of the stuff I can use.

So with that said, all that remains to be said is........ Thanks!!!!!!!!!

To very one else,

This one, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, if you ain't checked this site out, then click here to see the goodies that are available. I reckon you're bound to see something that is useful for you. I promise that you will not be disappointed.

Blessings,

Hey Olaf, you seriously are about a million miles behind the times. We knew about that about a month or more ago. Seriously, mate, you need to keep up to speed.

Hi Jon,

I did, and he was even way behind the 8 ball then. So, he's only saying or regurgitating what has already been said, and everyone knows, or what is now common knowledge.

I could say more, but I'll just leave it there.

Blessings,
