Olaf,

Although you have developed a good and helpful document on logging into BibleSupport, the major problem you have not addressed in your tutorial is the issue of the inability of logging in resulting from certain security software preventing logins on some websites, such as this one.

So, basically all you are dealing with is what is what everyone generally knows what to do, but nothing about what to do when blocked by security, malware, and antivirus software, of which most issues of logins appear to be happening. Resolve this issue, and you're everyone's best friend.

Blessings,

APsit190 (also known as Stephen), the problems that you mention pertain to the browser that is used to access http://www.biblesupport..com  which is not a secure website. The Community Forum Software needs to be updated to cater for European, and Asian standards of privacy.

If the browser has javascript disabled, and the error “Javascript Disabled Detected” is encountered during access, then the following message will be provided to the user: “You currently have javascript disabled, Several functions may not work. Please re-enable javascript to access full functionality.”

The Javascript is basically used to advertise recent access options available from to Bible Support and new modules that are now available. The website will work okay with Javascript deactivated.

This is a parameter that the user must correct with their browser. The user is responsible to provide this parameter to their browser. I will update the notes with an appropriate note, to inform the user that if they encouter the mentioned error, then they are to please search the internet for instructions of how to enable javacript for their specific browser.

Popular browsers are Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Brave, In the past there have been security problems caused by the use of the Chrome browser, which both Firefox and Microsoft Edge have recently attempted to overcome with updated security options which they will implement on the user's device.
Brave is a free and open-source web browser developed by Brave Software, Inc. based on the Chromium web browser. Brave is a privacy-focused browser, which automatically blocks most advertisements and website trackers in its default settings.

Apple devices such as iPhones and iPads come with Safari as the default browser. However you can download and use other web browsers on your Apple device Here are some of the most popular web browsers for iPhone and iPad:

Please note that this is not an exhaustive list and there are many other web browsers available on the App Store.

I do not recommend using Maxthon, because this sends reports of sensitive details to a server in Communist China.

Thank you for your response. When you have received more details from the relevant browser developers, who are concerned because of hefty fines that are being imposed by Euopre on the browsers provided for use on American websites, which do not meet privacy specifications, please share this in a suitable tutorial on the Bible Support forum.

The Biblesupport website does not indicate any forwarding of your use of this website to any tracking third party.

Olaf,

I've never had an issue with logging on here, and I use Firefox. And when I use Chrome, no issue with that logging onto here, and neither with Edge or (before Edge) Internet Explorer. As to the other ones, I've never used them. So I had no issues/problems at all!

Here's the thing, the above information you just put up in response to that reply, that, you should have included in your tutorial. Me thinks that is exactly the next job you should of, eh mate.

Blessings,

Hi, just testing the waters. I signed up yesterday and have been able to login; but when I tried to start a thread to ask a question I got an error that said I was flagged as a spammer. Just curious to see if I can reply to posts.

Looks like I can. I tried to start a new thread and it worked this time, so all is well.

Dear PhilF, you did not indicate what type of e-Sword you are running, and on what type of equipment. You did not identify the specifric URL to the source of the file that you wanted to download, or the specific existing names of the modules. Please provide this, because the website is huge, and dynamic, and many changes occur day and night. You did not say whether you could download any of these modules to your PC. In future please provide more specific information, not just words in your imagination. You must tell us what you have already tried to do, and what worked, and what did not work. Then someone can try to reverse engineer your problem in their mind, to determine your actual problem. This site is for the users who have already successfully loaded e-Sword on to their own PC equipment. I will provide an update, including some of the missing details, in a later update to the HOW TO LOGIN Tutorial file. Meanwhile, please start by loading e-Sword of the appropriate type, to your device from https://www.e-sword.net

And PhilF, this response which you entered, here, is NOT on the thread that you began. Please do not scribble just anywhere on this website. Please repond to your own threads when you want to check and reply to responses from someome. Okay?
