Hi,

as a KJV onlyist, i am missing the possibility to compare scripture with scripture - instead of bible version with bible version, which all other bible apps support.

Is it possible to add multiple "Bibles" viewports?

 

(and a little annoyance is when text is selected and the search button is clicked, it's default on "search for the exact phrase")

I do not understand the difference between "compare scripture with scripture" and "bible version with bible version".

Except if you mean compare scripture within scripture. So, compare verses with other verses in the same Bible.

What e-Sword edition do you have? There is compare and parallel mode for the Bible modules.

And there is an "Extended Bible search" in the PC edition so that you can search for a word of phrase in multiple Bible versions.

I mean: one viewport or window with Luke 21, and a second window with Matthew 24, and maybe another with Mark 13, of the same bible version. :-)

Hi Alan82,

I think I know what you are asking... it deals with synchronizing or unsynchronizing the bible search. I can only do that using mysword deluxe version. I could not find it in e-Sword or the Word.

Have you tried using the Harmony feature? This will only give you the ability to compare passages in the Gospels but that should get you at least part of the way.

Here are the harmony modules from Galvin, Hayford and Robertson for the Gospels in.

In the PC version: click on Bible/harmony and select a Bible.

I think that the mac version also support it but not the LT and HD apps.

 

(Only the title is in English so you can it as use for Bible modules in other languages).

I have my own titles for the Gospels.

There is a button on the button bar for the Bible window which splits the window in half so you can view 2 different chapters of the same Bible. The current chapter is opened in the bottom half, and then you can look up other passages in the top half.
