This is an exegesis of Jesus' Olivet Discourse taking Matthew 24-25 as the primary text. The goal was not to explain every detail of the text. Rather, an attempt is made to discern the eschatological chronology that Jesus is teaching. This document defends a primarily futurist view of the Olivet discourse. Jesus' purpose was the reorient the disciples' false expectation that the end of the age would happen quickly. Particularly, they assumed the destruction of Jerusalem would be roughly synonymous with the end of the age. Jesus corrects this by teaching many tribulations (distresses) would take place, but the end is not yet.
