what I mean is you are to technical for me to understand most times

For non-techies, Josh's response was probably the best.

This is where Jonathon would quote 1,000 pages of documentation. :D :D

On second thoughts, that response probably also works for techies.

Linda Williamson has been of immense help, in writing less technically formidable material.

since this is not stable (seeing there is a problem viewing some .cmtx) when will 10.0.4 be released?

Well it's not that 10.0.3 is unstable, it's that some user-made modules weren't in compliance with e-Sword's module creation "standards". If one of your favorite resources is impacted, then just use 10.0.2. No time frame has been set for 10.0.4, but I would imagine it would fit a similar time frame as the previous release candidates. It can also vary depending on what other issues arise, other bug reports, etc. Hence, no timeframe.

Posting this on behalf of someone who doesn't want to "complain" but wants their viewpoint heard regarding their large library. I personally don't think the proper technical answer is folder categorization--I think the long-term answer is for the Reference Library to eventually support labels or categories.

I too use folders to categorize my topics files. Now i have to choose between using the new ref library or keeping my existing organizational structure with folders. I know I can filter the ref library by keyword but my category names for resources don't always line up with the names of resources. We should either have a quick way to switch which folder the ref library reads from. Or have a way to classify resources inside e-sword. If not... there is no way to manage a large collection of topics files. Right now we have a library with no way to organize it. Thanks for listening.

Just tried 10.0.3, and a number of commentaries broke. They appeared in the list as present, had balloons, but there was no text in the window. Went back to 10.0.2 and the text appeared in all commentaries. Very random, but might have been when greek lettters were in text. Modules made for greek studies were gone, while the plain text ones seemed there. Didn't spend much time on it, as study takes precedence over software development.

I don't use folders I have used a naming scheme to accomplish this:

Church History - Eusebuis.topx
Extra Biblical - The Book of Jasher.topx
General - A Medical Account of Crucifixion.topx
Grammar - Gesenius Hebrew Grammar.topx
Hebrew Roots - Paul-Least in the Kingdom.topx
History - Alfred Edersheim - Bible History the Old Testament.topx
History - Josephus - Against Apion.topx
History - Philo - The Biblical Antiquities.topx
Rabbinic - The Babylonian Talmud.topx

Tags or something that I don't have to modify the resource name would be good though.

anyone think that Rick could be persuaded to repost 10.0.2 until 10.0.4 is ready?

The concept of the Cetus Software's "Smart Starter" utility could be expanded here to create "collections" or categories for topics. Someone else would have to code it, though.
