ESV WEBSITE: See https://www.esv.org for details.

ESV FOR MOBILE APPS: See https:// www.esv.org/resources/mobile-apps/  LINK: https://www.esv.org/...es/mobile-apps/

ESV Bible for iPhone and iPad

The ESV Bible app was designed to make reading the Bible on your iPhone or iPad as similar to reading a print Bible as possible.

We have reconsidered how each part of the app functions and interacts with the biblical text itself. From the font choices to button arrangement to innovative text layout options, every facet of the app was designed to make engaging with God's Word as intuitive as possible. Download on the App Store. https://itunes.apple...d361797273?mt=8

ESV Bible for Android

The ESV Bible app for Android is available for free in the Google Play Store. It currently includes the full ESV Bible text (with or without an internet connection). Users can easily navigate and search the Bible text, as well as move from cross-references or footnotes and back to their passage with ease.

Our aim is to continue developing the Android app in the coming months, ultimately matching all of the features available in the iPhone/iPad version. Thank you for your patience! Get it on Google Play  https://play.google....m.subsplash.esv

For the esv+.bblx there is a copy for the Windows PC in the entries on Bible Support, at http:// www.biblesupport.com/topic/9558-esv/
LINK: http://www.biblesupp...topic/9558-esv/
This is provided in a zipped format. I tried this again on my Windows PC. There are hyperlinks included, for R (references) and N (footnote entries).

Thank you, Tj Higgins. That there is a version of ESV provided for e-Sword in the Download option, by Rick Meyers, was explained on the previous page of this Forum entry. However, that option does not include the cross-reference notes, nor the footnotes, and was last updated by Rick Meyers at 2016-11-07. Terris2212 wanted a version of ESV for use on his/her iPad. Terris2212 will contact Crossway, a publishing ministry of Good News Publishers, as what was wanted is the ESV Study Bible with their full notes.

Actually, the ESV+ module, which can be downloaded from within e-Sword, contains the cross-references and footnotes. If I remember correctly, it's part of the ESV download; that is, both the regular ESV and the ESV+ download together.

Actually, the ESV+ module, which can be downloaded from within e-Sword, contains the cross-references and footnotes. If I remember correctly, it's part of the ESV download; that is, both the regular ESV and the ESV+ download together.

This can be tested by using e-Sword for Windows option "Options" > "Resource Settings..." > Resource Options "Bibles", select English Standard Version [esv.bblx] and use right-click to Delete Resouce Permanently; then select English Standard Version w/ Notes [esv+.bblx] and use Right-click to Delete Resource Permanently. Check that the entries have been deleted from the folder, by checking with File Explorer. Restart e-Sword. Entries have disappeared. Use "Download" > "Bibles" > English > Free and select English Standard Version. You are correct there are both the [esv.bblx] and [esv+.bblx] downloaded, with the date last updated listed in the folder having the date on which the file was re-downloaded.
In ESV+ the notes are the footnotes in the chapters in which the verses are located. In verse 1 of each chapter, the reference R0 provides the book notes. Then reference R1 will begin with reference notes to that verse. Reference numbers are from number zero up to number twenty-six then begin again with reference 1 again in the next cycle of reference entries.

In the video below shows what one actually gets when the ESV is downloaded from with the e-Sword Download Manager.

The video covers both e-Sword Version 9 through to the current version (Version 13), and also e-Sword Android. I also assume that this would cover e-Sword X, LT, and HT due to the fact that e-Sword Android uses the same file extensions that Apple devices use.

So, with that sit back and enjoy the video.

If you both like this video and found it helpful, go to my channel and leave a Like, subscribe to the channel, and hit the Notification bell.

Currently I have 36 who have subscribed to this channel, of which the overwhelming would have come from here. So a huge thanks to you for your support.

Blessings,
