I have purchased the latest version of iPad Air and restore e-sword.net from my older model backup from the cloud.

Copy verse no longer works in the module. I have e-sword HD so I'm not sure of what I need to do. Can you advise. Have a good day. I don't know if you keep a record, but I have contributed to e-sword on two different occasions.

Thank You

You should make sure you have the latest version of e-Sword HD which is version 10.2.1 this version should work on the newest iPads

I am on the latest version. See attachment. Right clicking using two fingers only highlights a portion of the scripture verse I’d.  Sorry not sure how to do an attachment, but I’m on version 10.2.1.

thanks

I took a screen shot but rec’d msg that image file type not allowed on this board. Is there a email address I can send you a screen shot of my version?

No need for an image, I don't use the Apple/Mac versions of e-Sword so I am not sure what the problem might be unless the operating system on the new iPad has a compatibility issue with the current version of e-Sword HD.

Another possibility might be how you installed e-Sword HD on the new iPad perhaps something was damaged during the installation

I will reload and see if that helps. I think e-sword has to have a third party app called "cross over" to work on 32 bit systems so that might be an issue as well.

Thanks

Well, deleting e-sword and downloading it again did not resolve the issue. It will not copy on IPad Air 4th gen. I mis-spoke about a third party app. That is my MacBook Pro not here. Any suggestion would be appreciated. I have used e-sword for good part of 10 years and rely on it for all my bible study. I would hate to have to go to a new app.

Thanks,

Shelton Young

I searched the user manual to no avail. It only referenced earlier iPad versions have a tool bar. e-Sword HD does not have a toolbar.

But I found the answer in the intro to e-Sword HD on the following website: https://www.e-sword.net/ipad/

To copy a verse it is a"long hold on the verse link". When you release your finger it will give you copy, highlight, share or tag as options.  You can then copy the single verse or multiple verses.

Thank You,

Shelton Young
