Hi ,

How can I add a Headings file for  a bible language.
example:

C:\Program Files (x86)\e-Sword\headings.en
C:\Program Files (x86)\e-Sword\headings.es

Seems like an sqlite thing, is there a tool for that, or is there a workaround to do it in the bible file itself?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

With SQLite Database Browser can you read or edit.

https://sqlitebrowser.org/

But there are legal issues

1)headings is a part of the e-Sword program so you need permission from Rick Meyers.

2)headings from copyrighted Bibles are copyrighted.

Based on "Bethaniƫ" did you use the "sobere revisie van de StatenVertaling ed.1750" that has already headings inside the verses.

Or the GBS Statenvertaling 1637 that lacks headings.

Every edition of the Statenvertaling before 1900 is surely "Public Domain" (free of being copyrighted).

Hi Katoog,

Thank you for all your answers.

I do use a pre 1900 DSV and sometimes the "Bijbel in Gewone Taal BGT"
But I would take the titles from the "Summarized Bible" (Public Domain) and translate as led and as necessary.

Thanks again Katoog,

Making a headers file is relatively easy with the tool, ....but, they only get displayed if you use them in one of the languages that are already in eSword, ie headers.(EN-ES-PT). Something else needs to be activated elsewhere to get it done.

Time to contact Rick Meyers.
