I have version 11.2.2.

On the Bible > Parallel tab, when I click the dropdown arrow on a translation tab, the only options are KJV and KJV+.

How can I get/install the many versions shown in the eSword User Guide topic about the Parallel tab?

You need to download individual bible modules either through e-Sword's built in downloader or through this site. Bible and other modules listed in the built-in downloader are official licensed modules, while modules here on Bible Support are user created.

Once modules are installed they will be listed in the dropdown menus in the parallel tab

Also for help on downloading free and premium resources, just hit the F1 button on your keyboard or click on Contents in the help menu if requiring any help.

Would be wonderful if Rick would consider adding the NKJV as well...I use mostly the KJV but would prefer the NKJV.
God bless Rick for sharing God's resources.

The NKJV of 1982 is available as Premium module. By the downloads of the e-Sword program.

Rick shall not add it in the default because the NKJV is not free to add and copyrighted.

WHY NKJV is not provided as a free-to-read module on BibleSupport.com

This Bible is under copyright. If you want to quote from the book, you need to get permission from the copyright holder to enable you to quote from their book.

https://copyrightalliance.org/faqs/how-to-get-copyright-permission/

The copyright owner of KNJV - this is published by Thomas Nelson. The company is owned by  Harpercollins.
https://stevelaube.com/its-official-thomas-nelson-is-now-owned-by-harpercollins/ as at July 2012

See details at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HarperCollinsThis is not the same as the King James Version https://libertytothecaptives.net/nkjv_trans_bridge_modern.html

Is the NET BIBLE TRANSLATION acceptable? Thanks.

I bought the NET Bible for e-Sword and I'm really glad that I did.  It comes with both the NET and NET+ variations.  The NET+ includes over 50,000 translation and study notes.  I think that the NET translation is acceptable.  If you want to research the NET Bible more, I recommend going to https://bible.org/downloads and Download the Microsoft Word Document of the Noteless NET Bible in a zip file: (2.8 MB).  Then you can read the Preface, Introduction, etc. and find out more about how the NET Bible was translated and see if it stands up to your criteria.  FYI, the Noteless NET Bible is version 1.0, but more recently a version 2.0 of the NET Bible has been made available.  Personally, I wouldn't want to rely on a Noteless version of the NET Bible (or any Bible where the translators originally provided notes, including the KJV Bible).

I was disappointed when I installed the premium NKJV e-Sword module and found that it did not include any NKJV footnotes.

I can provide the NKJV footnotes in a commentary module for you by email if you would like

ElderB

Thank you for your kind answer! It is useful for considering if I buy it.

Tj Higgins

I would also appreciate the Notes of the NKJV, which I bought here

Gratefully,.
