I downloaded the Audio Bible for e-Sword. It works;but, in the New Testament, it does not play the chapter selected. It play all chapters tested so far in the Old Testament section.

If I select John chapter 15, it plays John chapter 12. I downloaded another KJV bible file and now it plays John chapter 14 when I select John chapter 15. Do you have any thoughts on what is happening?

If you could be a tad more specific about what it is you downloaded and where you downloaded it from, it would be a big help.

The audio bibles on this site are set up so that the each chapter is linked to specific mp3 file for each chapter of each bible book. Based on your description it sounds like the there is an issue between the links and the mp3 files being used.

I downloaded the e-Sword Audio Module Maker 1.1 by Raymond Barone from bible Support.com.

It was installed as per the following instructions.

e-Sword Utility:
DownloadAudio Module Maker 1.1

Author:
Raymond Barone

This program can be used to make a commentary module with links to audio files of the Bible.
Each file should contain the audio of a chapter of the Bible.

Steps:

1- Select (Whole Bible, Old testament, or New Testament)
2- Select one of the following:
a- Files for each book are in a subfolder: If you have one folder containing a number of subfolders, each containing audio files for one book of the Bible.
b- All files are in the same folder: If you have one folder containing all files sorted by name.
3- Enter a Tab name and a description. You can also change the link text that will appear in e-Sword.
4- Select the folder containing the subfolders (a) or all the audio files (b ).
5- The file name for the module will be automatically set to the tab name, and the path to the e-Sword resource folder. You can change this in the "Output Module" text box.
6- Click "Create Module"

Notes:
1- Folders should contain the audio files only.
2- Links in the module will be sorted according to the order of folders and files that appears in Windows Explorer. So make sure this is the order you want ( in both cases, whether the files are in separate folders or in the same folder)
3- Don't use the same Tab name for two modules. Only one will appear then in e-Sword.

The bible data was obtained from www.firefighters.org/bible-kjv.

The result of setting the Audio bible up is as follows. Please see the attached picture.

The program is working; but , I may have something wrong. When I run Genesis I get the following results.

             Running                                     Getting

Genesis Chapter 1                             Genesis Chapter 1

Genesis Chapter 2                            Genesis Chapter 1

Genesis Chapter 3                            Genesis Chapter 2

Genesis Chapter 4                            Genesis Chapter 3

The same thing happens when I run Matthew Chapter 1 or any other Bible Book.

Do you have any thoughts on what may be occurring? Or solution?

The audio module maker is not making the links to the audio files correctly which in turn is causing your issue.

I downloaded the audio files from the site you used for just the Book of Ruth, and noticed that the folder with the files for Ruth includes a file labeled 08Rth.m3u which is playlist file. Playlist files are used by audio players to display specific lists of audio files and are usually user created.

Assuming that each bible book as an m3u playlist file then the Audio Module Maker is likely creating links for these files as the first chapter for each book. Try deleting all of the m3u files and making the module again hopefully this will solve the problem.

Thank you very much Sir for your suggestions. I removed  the m3u  files from each one of the 66 bible books  and removed three more that were at the end of the entire file. There were 69 total m3u files removed.

The Audio Module Maker 1.1 was removed from e-Sword and installed again. The Bible data files were put in the program file were the e-Sword resources are located.

The e-Sword Bible Program was restarted and a test was run on Bible Books Genesis,  Ruth, Malachi, Matthew, and Titus. Everything word correctly. The selected chapter was opened and read with the Audio each time.

Attached is a link to the Bible Data files revised as you suggested.

Thank you again for your help.
