Has anyone of you an e-Sword or MySword version of the Schultz Free Bible Commentary?

I might be wrong, but the commentaries you are

referring to appear to be protected.  Tried a couple

.pdfs of 1st and 2nd Chronicles and I was unable

to copy the text.  Also, whatever protection there is

seems to prevent me from converting the .pdf

file(s) to a Word format.  If this is the case, then you

cannot convert one of  the commentaries  to an

e-Sword format........  Will reboot my PC and try later.

Maybe you could check it out and see if this is the

case or not...

Well, I Had no issues with doing a copy and paste on my machine.

 

Now, considering I don't have, and neither do I wish to have MS Word, I successfully did a copy and paste of some text from that commentary in both WordPerfect and LibreOffice Writer. So with that, if (by some unfortunate coincident) did have that dastardly program, I would assume I could successfully do a copy and paste in (blurk) MS Word.

 

Another program I tested it in was T4, and that also proved to be successful.

P.S. Its not a case of disliking MS Word (blurk). Its an actual case that I hate it, and as a word processor, it totally sucks.

The commentary files (in PDF's) are not write-protected. You can select the text and put it e.g. in Notepad++. @Djmarko53, maybe you should check your computer configuration ;-)

 

Anyone has an e-Sword or MySword version? I will also ask the owners about/for it.

 

If not available, when the commentary is readable, is it easy to have it formatted in e-Sword format? Is that what the "e-Sword ToolTip Tool NT" is for? Does it require much time to do the formatting? 

 

It is fairly easy to write software parsing texts and formatting them in the right format like a database file.

used to be Word Perfect.  Switch to Word only because I got it free.

Now Microsoft has figured out a way to get me to pay "$$$" to upgrade

and I refuse to do that.....  I have been using it only to create e-Sword

modules (format text) and to edit Sermons......  Anyway, will probably

switch to a Word Processor that doesn't cost me an arm and a leg....

hi Johan, ask me if I can convert. I am working on converting all Pdfs to word.

I will start the commentary but somebody will have to finish it.

concerning Microsoft office … try LibreOffice it is a free open source. It is very good. I got those Pdfs that you could not convert to word.

here is the files in plain text

You will need to put in order. there is books, chapters and verses

Both LibreOffice and OpenOffice are Open Source and free, and quite good office suites to use. Moreover they are MS Office compatible, in where you can open, save, and create any MS Office file without any loss or corruption of data. So, on that note, your arm and leg are totally saved.

On a personal note, when it comes to Word (docx) files, I use LibreOffice Writer, and PowerPoint Presentation (pptx) I use Use LibreOffice Impress.

Hi Jon,

Thanks for that clarification.

 

I have and use LibreOffice Writer. Had OpenOffice at one point in time, and found that it didn't support docx, pptx and etc, and so I uninstalled it.
