Josh I have mentioned this a while back. I have the option "Notify me of new comments", and to send me an email, but I have not got this working. I have tried two different email suppliers, (yes I checked the bin) and have no success.
Was this site on some sort of blacklist?
Does anyone here with a Hotmail address get this notification feature working?

Hotmail doesn't like us for reasons I have not yet figured out. I tried changing the way the email was sent, the from email, the from name, etc. Hotmail simply won't deliver an email from our site. Gmail does just fine, along with a couple of other providers. There's really nothing I can do, unfortunately. I will look into whether hotmail has our ipaddress blacklisted.

Now, I have dealt with some previous confusion over two issues that are solvable:

1) When you follow a topic, make sure you choose "Receive Notification: Instantly".

2) Check that your Notification Options here: http://www.biblesupp...a=notifications
The center column, "Email", should be checked to receive emails for the events shown on the left side of the screen.

But if you're using hotmail, none of this matters because hotmail refuses to deliver from us.

Yep, just checked this server's email bounce logs. We are on Hotmail's blacklist. I'll file an appeal.

I've been advised of the technical misconfiguration of sendmail on the server. I have corrected the problem and submitted our ip address for removal from the banned database. The request was accepted and we should work with hotmail within 24 hours.

Confirmed: emails sent from this website now appear in hotmail.
