OmniPage Pro; 18 is latest version; se version usually comes with certain scanners (se may not covert PDFs)

I use this program to convert PDF to a usable format and Proofing is easier with OmniPagePro

BabelMap also has a txt editor called Babelpad

I use BabelMap to enter special characters into omnipage's editor when OCR fails to read correctly then to word for further formatting then to T3

Mountfocus

An on screen keyboard creator create macros to work in and across programs

example
copy html page to word with one button

May God change our hearts to what the truth is

2Ti_2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Rom_9:16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

2Ti 2:24-25  And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

You can get Omnipage 18 for $100 on Amazon, which isn't the same as the Pro version but I don't think there's that much difference.

Hi

A very good alternative to Omnipage is ABBYY Finereader. I use both Omnipage 16 and Finereader 10 at work, and the results are very similar, but I find Finereader a bit easier to use.

Finereader 11 can be bought new for around 150$. Surely it can be cheaper in Amazon or somewhere else.

Hi
thanks again for the programs. I have the Omnipage 17 professional and I am getting use to it. I can make modules from my old books (topics). like using T3 to make maps etc.

Once again very nice Software.

I use Open Office Writer frequently when making modules from web pages. I select the data from the web page in the browser to the clipboard, then paste it into Writer. A lot of formatting is preserved when doing this such as character style and size and indents. I then select the text in Writer, and copy it to the clipboard, then paste it into ToolTip Tool (T3), for tooltipping and topic marking. Then save it as a Topic Note file.

I think this might be the right area for this question, I was wondering if there is a setting of some sort that allows the extraction of greek letters from a PDF document?

If you are using omnipage pro go to tools, options. OCR tab look for "languages in document" and check the box for Greek from the list click ok

note: the resulting OCR of the Greek will not be as accurate as the English
