Just copied this from my copy of WPNT

Joh 1:51 And He says to him, “I tell you (pl) most assuredly, later on you will see the heaven opened and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man.”39

Try downloading it again.

Hello Silverhair, I deleted the WPNT from the Options >  Resources options, by deselecting all, then selecting WPNT, and right clicking to remove all hidden files. This did not seem to work immediately as expected, so I also used File Explorer, and went to the folder, closed e-Sword, and deleted the files wpnt.cmtx and wpnt.bblx from the drive and folder where I am keeping my e-Sword files. Redownloaded. Reloaded from the Zipped files. Again there is problems to view John 1 where the double quotes have error; and John 1:51 still does not have text. My PC is Microsoft Windows 64-bit.
I also tested Module Installer version .6 today, by uninstalling this; and downloading and running this. Checked to confirm whether this worked.

(From Settings) Select Apps, then in Apps & features check that e-Sword Module Installer version .6 is listed. (From Settings) Select type, then select the option > Choose a default app for each type of file.
Then, in the Choose default applications by file type, browse down to check that the following have been linked to moduleinstaller.exe. All the following are listed: .bbli .bblx .brpi .brpx .cmti .cmtx .dcti .dctx .devi .devx .hari .harx .jnli .jnlx .lexi .lsti .lstx .mapi .mapx memi .memx .noti .notx .refi .refx topi .topx

So there is still a problem. (Olaf Bacon).

Hi Olaf

I downloaded the file from Bible support. It comes as a Zip file. I use Pea zip to open the files and the extract them to the disk location that I want.

When I did this tonight I had not problem Joh 1.51 was there. Try using Pea zip and see what happens.

Delete your problem file from within e-Sword as you did previously and then restart e-Sword. Is the Bible still there? If yes, then your offending file is in your virtualstore folder. If you don't know how to find that folder, search on Google and it will instruct you.

In reply to previous comments, WPNT.bblx adamantly refuses to allow itself to be deleted from inside e-Sword version 12.1.0, on Options > Resources. No copy was found in the Virtual Store. I found Gesenius there, and used Module Installer to move that to the correct ...\e-Sword folder; then deleted the Gesenius in the virtual store, manually, from file explorer.  I then deleted WPNT.bblx manually. After internet disruption problems between South Africa and the USA; was eventually able to download and load peazip. Then downloaded WPNT, and then unzipped files to the ...\e-Sword folder, as requested, using peazip. John 1:51 does now show, but text is garbled; with smart quotes now corrected, however, in previous verses, the smartquotes are still corrupted, and WPNT notes (29) to (39) have become appended in the WPNT Bible module. The WPNT Commentary module, with the Bible footnotes, seems to be correct. Example:

Joh 1:49 In answer Nathanael says to Him, “Rabbi, You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!â€37
Joh 1:50 Jesus answered and said to him, “You believe because I said that I saw you under the fig tree? You will see greater than these.â€38
Joh 1:51 And He saysome in him a spring of water welling up into eternal life’” (4:13-14). “Jesus stood up and called out saying, ‘If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. The one believing into me, just as the Scripture has said, out from his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’ (Now He said this about the Spirit, whom those believing into Him were going to receive, in that the Holy Spirit had not yet been given because Jesus had not yet been glorified.)” (7:37-39). In other words, when Jesus baptizes you, you are regenerated, you receive a new nature, you receive the Holy Spirit.
(29) That’s what he said, “the Son of God,” which here probably means there’s only one. John clearly identifies and presents the Messiah to the populace. He performed his office.

What ought to be here, for John 1: verses 49-51, is as follows:
49In answer Nathanael says to Him: “Rabbi, You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!”d 50Jesus answered and said to him: “You believe because I said that I saw you under the fig tree? You will see greater than these.”e 51And He says to him, “I tell you (pl) most assuredly, later on you will see the heaven opened and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of the Man.”f

I have tried again. Was able to delete WPNT.bblx, using e-Sword; which deleted entry in list, and in the list of Bibles, after closing e-Sword.
However, if I then try to delete WPNT.cmtx in a similar way; this will delete from the Options, Resource Options list, after a few attempts; but the file itself still remains in my ...\e-Sword folder on the E: drive, and the entry is still listed in the view of all commentaries; even though the entry is no longer listed in the Options>Resource Options>List of available Commentaries.
This means that somewhere something is not paying attention as to what exactly is to be "deleted" or to be displayed, when instructed to do so. Today is 2020-May-22. If I use the parallel option, I see verse John 1:51 in WPNT, but it is missing in single Scripture view. The Afrikaans Bible, which follows Stephens numbering, in both single view and parallel view shows John verses 50, 51, and 52 in John chapter 1.(Olaf Bacon).

2020-08-02 WPNT still a problem. Am running on Microsoft 64-bit system, Windows 10 Pro, version 2004. The e-Sword files (wpnt.bblx) and (wpnt.cmtx) with the date 2012/04/29 still refuse to delete from inside e-Sword from the C:\Program files (x86)/e-Sword folder, when using e-Sword, Options, Resource settings, deselect all, and right click on the WPNT option to tell the PC to delete the file specific WPNT file.  The PC does NOT delete the file.
I deleted these files, using File Explorer; deleting them from the C:\Program files (x86)\e-Sword folder.
There is no copy of wpnt.bblx or wpnt.cmtx in <username>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\e-Sword folder.
Reloaded the files (wpnt.bblx) and (wpnt.cmtx) from wpnt.zip and then loaded the Bibles AFV (which has 52 verses in John chapter 1) and WPNT. In the Bible option, (Ctrl + F2), in the Parallel view, with AFV in the first column, and WPNT in a subsequent column, can view John 1:52 verses in AFV, and in WPNT the verse John 1:51 displays correctly. Am able to scroll upwards correctly. Can select specific verse, correctly. However, when view changed to viewed each Bible independently, then in WPNT the verse John 1:51 still does NOT display in the WPNT file, in the Bible view.
Please could someone with programming skills, re-open WPNT and check that the formatting for John 1:51 is correct, and re-save the wpnt.bblx and wpnt.cmtx zipped file back to the e-sword BIBLE SUPPORT.

I looked in the file and verse 51 is there. Also displays ok in Bible view.

Perhaps you have a duplicate abbreviation name, in which case e-Sword will ignore one of the resources.

I suggest you count the number of .bblx and .bbli files you have in the e-Sword folder. Then see if you have the same count in Options -> Resource Settings. This will establish the possibility of a duplicate abbreviation possibility.

Thanks JPG. I found an entry for William and another for William's (incidentally both are actually spelled wrong, and ought to be Williams's New Testament, according to the Society of Biblical Literature. https://www.sbl-site...ookofStyle.aspx where Rule Changes in the Second Edition of the Society of Biblical Literature, are mentioned. This refers to The SBL Handbook of Style, 2nd edition, 2014. They are an American-based learned society dedicated to the academic study of the Bible and related ancient literature. Following The Chicago Manual of Style, all names form the possessive with an apostrophe s. Jesus’s and Moses’s are not exceptions to this rule (4.1.6). So, a book written by Williams would be Williams's New Testament). I deleted both entries, one was in the Virtual Store, reloaded the Williams NT; and used the Module Installer to copy all entries in Virtual Store into the C:\Program Files (x86)\e-Sword folder. No change. Still can see WPNT for John 1:51 in the Parallel view, and in the Compare view, but not in the direct view - if the font there is white on white I still cannot see it.
