I have some Bible versions in the .bbli format. How can they be converted into the .bblx format?

You don't need to convert them, bbli will work in e-Sword.

I am aware that the program recognizes .bblx files. But for the sake of consistency in a big collection of .bblx files which I have, I want to convert the .bbli files into the .bblx format.

simply rename the extension to .bblx

eSword does not determine the internal format from these extensions.

simply rename the extension to .bblx

eSword does not determine the internal format from these extensions.

And this actually works fine. I found the bast way I found to actually do this is by using the Command prompt (which is like the good ol' DOS prompt). To access the Command prompt, right click on the Start button, and then click on Command Prompt or Command Prompt (Admin) menu item.

Once in the command prompt you will see the prompt telling you where you are located on the default drive, which is:

C:\> Users\ Admin

So before doing anything, you need to do the following:

Type: CD C:\

Hit the Enter key

Type: CD Program Files (x86)\e-Sword

Hit the Enter key

OK now that  you're in the default e-Sword folder, do exactly as seen in the below example:

Type: Dir *.bbli

Hit the Enter key.

By doing that, you will only have any or all the files shown by that extension. That will eliminate the need to find the file(s) you want to rename. Once that is done, do the following:

Type: Ren asv.bbli asv.bblx

or whatever the file name is.

Hit the Enter key and you're all done and dusted.

Remember, the filename shown here is just an example, and this will work with any filename you choose to rename with the exception of those whose attributes are set to Read Only and/or System.

Trust you find this helpful.

Blessings,

Thank you. I have changed the extension of the files, and the program still recognizes them.
