Just for information

I have Win10 version 1909

I can install both versions of ToolTipTool NT

I don't have Malwarebytes installed

I do have Windows Security active during install.

I do have Acronis Active Protection active during install.

With Google Chrome if you go into it's settings and turn off "Safe Browsing" you will be able to download Tooltip

OK. Just to let you all know.

I both just downloaded and installed this version of T4 without any issues.

Downloaded it using Firefox web browser.

Did two types of installs without any issues:

  1. First install just installed over the older version. No issues.
  2. Second install - Uninstalled T4, then cleaned Registry (using CCleaner) of all Registry entries of T4, rebooted PC, then installed the program. No issues.

As to what other users were experiencing when it came to their download problem and installation problems, I have no idea.

That said, when it comes to the installation of T4, my recommendation is that you:

  1. Uninstall the previous older version rather then just merely installing over the old version
  2. Clean Windows Registry of all instances of T4 using CCleaner or some other Registry cleaning tool.
  3. Reboot you PC after cleaning Windows Registry.
  4. Do a New Install of T4.

If problem persists, grab a sledge hammer and smash your computer. Its a useless piece of junk.ROFL.gif

I had no problem opening Tooltip Tool 2020 04 11.  My problem is that it does not recognize any of the .notx, .jnlx or topx files.  The manual says that it will download Study, Journal and Topic notes; however, my choices upon open are Rich text, Text, Word, HTML, Text Control or Supported files.  I have tried each of these with no success.

I am trying to find a way to reformat 20 or so years of study notes.  I wish to set the font at Verdana 11 pt and add 6 pt spacing after each paragraph.  I have changed the font setting forward in e-sword; however there is no way to do the same with the paragraphs.

Please don't suggest using a blank paragraph for spacing as that is very inelegant looking in my opinion.

Also, I have tried looking into the Word macros to maybe do the same thing on an individual basis as I encounter or update my notes on various verses.  However, I can't seem to get them to add into word and am not sure if they require opening notx in Word or if the macros will work in the e-sword editor.

SQLite doesn't do what I need.  Any help is appreciated

I encountered the same problem installing under wine.

The fix is as follows :  download mfc90u.dll.

navigate over to this directory:

~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/e-Sword ToolTip Tool NT/TX28

You should see tx4ole28.ocx in the directory.

Add mfc90u.dll to this same directory, then run

regsvr32 tx4ole28.ocx

and on my system, the OCX registers nicely.

Hope this helps.
