Hello, new user to e-sword.  I normally use Olivetree on both my Windows PC and android phone.  I've switched to Linux Mint 19.3 and had to find a new bible program.  So far this has fit the bill, though no Android.

 

I had to pay extra for NASB but that's ok, with all the other free resources I didn't mind it much.

 

Not sure I'll ever get away from Olivetree but this has worked great for me so far.

Welcome aboard.

 

From my perspective I think you will find e-Sword to be an extremely simple program and a joy to use. I call it as a program that is simple to use with ease of access, of which one has no more than at most three clicks to get to any resource. The beaut part of e-Sword is basically everything is at your finger tip, and you really don't have to go hunting for the particular item you want. Another thing you will find is that because all of the main resources, such as Bible Translation/Versions, Dictionaries, Commentaries, Maps, and Devotionals are on tabs, gives the user exceptionally quick access to them. With respect to these resources, there is no menu or dropdown combobox for them, and that means a real time saver.

 

Moreover, what you will find here, is what could be regarded as the largest repository of Bible and Bible study resources ever. And would even outstrip the content that is available for Olive Tree. What is even more amazing, is that the resources available here are free, of which anywhere else one has to pay for them. But not only that: but also the premium resources that is available for e-Sword, is far cheaper than you would have to pay for elsewhere. And as such, we really have some amazing deals here.
