Hi

Seeing the TWOT is not available as a module to purchase for e-Sword currently.  Is there any way to purchase it as an eBook perhaps?

I prefer having some electronic format to search through this module when needed (instead of the hard copy where I can't easily just copy/paste references, etc.)

I looked at the Online Bible option, but - I cannot get used to the software format.  Some of the other software that offer this add-on is insanely expensive.

Thanks,

There is a Bible Software Package called Logos that offers the TWOT as module for download

Theological Wordbook of the Old Testament (TWOT) is a premium module for TheWord.

do a word study then check the resources available.  TWOT is not  that necessary of a work.  Produced 1980 before the Electrornic databases.  Of course by all means if you can buy it as a hard copy then.  Anyways on word study:

A couple of years ago I downloaded and installed a free Wordsearch "starter" package and, at that time they offered a free TWOT module which I also downloaded (as a matter of fact, the reason I downloaded their "starter" package was so that I could have an electronic version of the TWOT). I know that Wordsearch still offers their free "starter" package, but I don't think the TWOT module is free anymore. Also, if I'm not mistaken, the free Online Bible has a "locked" version of the TWOT module available on their DVD and on their website for download—I think their unlock code will cost you $10.00.

I would love it, too, if eStudySource (or anybody else for that matter) would offer the TWOT for eSword. I would gladly pay any fair price to have that resource available on my eSword desktop. What a timesaver it would be for me, as I use it extensively in my Old Testament studies. It is an outstanding resource.

I hope this helps....

I'm sure I've used TWOT in the past and it's offering is very basic supplementary information. Could you be thinking about TDOT? (Theological Dictionary of the Old Testament) That is quite a comprehensive resource.

If you feel I'm wrong about TWOT then please correct me, with any suggestion of its advantages, and I'll check it out again. I could be quite wrong in my viewpoint here.

It's a real shame the way some want to profit from these things in such a way that it puts them out of reach.

Just out of interest, what would you consider a reasonable price to pay?

I own the Theological Wordbook of the Old Testament

Unfortunately, it is in a different format from what e-sword

uses.  Might try to create a sample of the first few Hebrew

entries and upload it, provided someone is interested in it.

I have created a lot of Commentaries and Reference works,

but don't believe  i have ever created a Dictionary.   A Hebrew

one at that would be a challenge.   The Theological Wordbook

is a monumental work, and to convert to e-Sword would most

likely require a lot of copying and pasting into the Tool Tip Editor.

That is true, but never said I was going to upload such.

I merely wanted to post a sample with a few entries to

make sure that the hebrew text was displaying correctly

on a system(s) other than my own.  Wanted to have a

beta-tester so to speak, before I tried to take on such a

monumental project.  I could post a sample of the text

from one entry in a message, but that won't show me

how it is appearing on e-Sword on another machine.

Sooner or later I will have to upgrade and/or replace my

system to better than what I have now.  Don't want to

undertake such a task if it might not run on another system

down the road.  Suppose i could simply save the source

code (".rtf) and try to re-compile later on another machine.

Would like to know for instance how it appears on a .MAC

machine.  Haven't even worked up the nerve to create such

a module.  Right now I'm too busy creating modules from

various .PDF files.  I love it when the file converts to a .doc or

.docx format.   Makes it a lot easier to create a commentary, etc.
