The IVP Bible Background commentary is a premium resource available at eStudySource for $34.99.

This resource is a set, containing commentaries for both the Old and New Testaments. Again, for a total of $34.99. And at that price, it has to be really worth it.

Not too sure as to what you are exactly looking for. That said, assuming that you are looking for a map of the "ancient near east," there are really good Bible Atlases available which can be download using e-Sword's Download Manager.

Also eStudySource has some excellent Bible Maps for purchase which could possibly meet your needs.

Trust you find this helpful.

I haven't used the IVP Bible Background commentary myself but i heard its OK , you can check reviews on amazon. Craig keener (the author) has a free 82 page document on backgrounds, check his website.

The IVP Bible Background commentary, which I own the hard copy.  international standard bible encyclopedia, WBC, NICOT, any OT commentary series or intro.  some of this is online w. google & logos.  Hint: use firefox not google.  you might find the IVP Bible Background commentary hard copy cheaper than software.  Pros cons
