I used eSword years ago and then switched to OliveTree as it worked on my iPad. I now obtained eSword HD,

Once nice thing was that OliveTree synced bookmarks, highlights, etc across devices.

Is there a way to do this with eSword HD, eSword LT and eSword PC?

I think the best bet to have your question answered is by Rick Meyers. In fact, I think that if that is not the case in where they are not synced, then this is a conversation you can have with him to see what can be done about it.

That's why I came to the forums today. I'm trying to see if I can sync my Highlights and notes from PC to my IPad.

I've lost so many notes I deed on older phones/ computers in the past.

did you ever get an answer?

If your PC I a Mac then you should have no difficulties with "syncing" your resource files with any of your iOS devices providing those files are in an area, such as a Cloud service, to where they can be accessed by e-Sword X, HT, and LT.

However, if your PC is Windows, then the answer is No. And the reason is that e-Sword for Windows PC uses a different file extension than e-Sword for iOS and Mac.

Trust this is helpful to you

Has anyone gotten an answer to this? Syncing notes, highlights, etc. from MacOS to iPad/iPhone would be wonderfully helpful.

Syncing e-Sword Topic, Study, and Journal notes across Apple devices, which includes:

  • iPhone
  • iPad,
  • Laptop (Macbook)
  • Desktop PC

is relatively sime, and pretty much straight forward. Simply have all your e-Sword resources on you favorite Cloud service.

Considering that e-Sword HT (iPad), LT (iPhone), X (MacOS devices), all use the same file extensions, you should have no difficulty with syncing resources with any or all of your devices using the Cloud.

Trust you find this helpful.

P.S. Oh yeah, by the way, you will be needed to be connected to the internet in one form or another.

Just a bit more on syncing.

You can also, as an alternative, have your own personal cloud storage system - something like this:

162723.jpg

WD My Cloud Pro Series 4-Bay Gigabit Ethernet External NAS - 16TB

And with that you can do all the syncing you want, and then some plus. Having something like that (and you can get really big ones that go about 40-50 TB+ (whatever size you desire)), you can have everyone in your church connected to it.

But being practical, something like this,

160240.530.556.jpg

Interface: (1) Gigabit Ethernet, (1) USB port for importing Capacity: 2TB Operating System: Windows/Mac Package Includes: My Cloud Home, Ethernet Cable, Power Supply and Cable, Quick Install Guide Compatible with Windows 7 (64-bit only) or later and Mac OS X v10.10 or later. For mobile, compatible with iOS 9+ and Android 4.4+. Requires a router and internet connection.

which would be more appropriate.

Trust that this information will be helpful.
