I use e-sword 11.0.6 and everything works fine except that Joel's book shows only 3 chapters when it has 4. If I open the bblx file with a sqlbrowser, I can see the 4 chapters without any problem. I think there is an error in the structure of the database. How can I correct this problem? Is it possible to correct this problem with the sqlbrowser?

E-Sword cannot display Joel 4 however all most all bible modules for E-Sword are formatted so that the 5 verses of Joel 3 are displayed as verses 28-32 of Joel 2 and then all of Joel 4 is displayed as Joel 3

That is the difference between the KJV verse-numbering and the Hebrew verse-numbering.

e-Sword use the KJV verse-numbering (with 3 chapters in Joel and 4 chapters in Malachi, no extra verse for the titles in Psalms,...) and some Hebrew modules using the Hebrew verse-numbering.

In (blue) is the Hebrew verse-numbering.

Joe 2:27

Joe 2:28 (3:1)
Joe 2:29 (3:2)

Joe 2:30 (3:3)
Joe 2:31 (3:4)
Joe 2:32 (3:5)

Joe 3:1 (4:1)

Joe 3:2 (4:2)

Joe 3:3 (4:3)

...

Joe 3:20 (4;20)

Joe 3:21 (4:21)

Now, we have something really interesting going on here which tends to show me that there is something out of whack, or not synchronous between the JPS Tanakh and the Protestant OT, and that is a whole chapter is missing somewhere in Joel.

In the JPS Tanakh and the Protestant OT correlate to each other, but in the Tanakh chapter three is chapter four. So here is the big question, where is chapter three in the Tanakh??? Chapters 1 & 2 are the same in both Tanakh and Protestant OT, and then Chapter three is chapter four in the Tanakh.  So when comparing the book of Joel with Tanakh and the Protestant OT, this is what you get

Prot OT - - - Tanakh

Joel 1              1

Joel 2              2

Joel 3              4

Oops!!! Something is missing somewhere, and something is terribly out of sync somewhere.

Think that I will need to get my hands on a physical Tanakh to see where the issue lies.

Don't worry about it, I see how it works, Chapter three in the Tanakh has only 5 verses, which in the Prot OT are the last five verses of chapter two.

Blessings,
