The offending module is an official download.
The problem is; if Rick sets the property to make the window horizontal scroll, then this will apply to all modules and the text would no longer wrap for any module. How annoying would that be!!
The issue is that he can't get tables to wrap.
Jon
Hi Jon,
Yep, that is true, and can't argue with that.
OK, when it comes to textboxes as such, whether its the plain textbox or the RTtextbox (Rich Text textbox irrespective of the brand) text will wrap if the property has been set at design time. However, when it comes to creating tables and inserting objects, i.e., spreadsheet data into the RTtextbox, then the wrapping capabilities fly out of the proverbial window or is booted out of the proverbial backdoor. And the reason for this is that these objects are static or fixed/rigid (or whatever term one wants to use). Text and numerals are flexible thus giving them the wrappable properties, just like paper or cling wrap. As where objects which require a fixed sized area, such as tables, graphics, spreadsheet data are inflexible in the same way as a wooden board is, and that is what the situation is with that, ummm, offending resource.
Having said all of that, the only bit that's incorrect in your comment is:
if Rick sets the property to make the window horizontal scroll, then this will apply to all modules and the text would no longer wrap for any module
The Horizontal scroll bar doesn't affect the wrapping capabilities of the text itself in the rest of the resources. So that in itself isn't a problem as text wraps with or without the a horizontal scrollbar. So, with that said, when it comes to that beautiful offending resource, the fix to that is simply to have the Bible window open to full screen, and then suggest to Rick Meyers that he plonks in a horizontal scroll bar in the next version of e-Sword.
Great chin wagging with you on this, and trust you have a great day.
Blessings,
