Looks like someone converted e-S 11 to manual change.

Any way to auto scroll with a mouse?

Depends on your mouse software some come pre-programmed for the scroll button to activate auto scroll press down on the scroll wheel a dot will appear with up and down arrows move the mouse down slightly and the page will auto scroll down slow move it down more and it will auto scroll down faster

I have a logitech mouse with set point software and actually have the scroll wheel button programmed to type a space

Auto scroll with Logitech mouse does not work for me in e-S 11; worked in e-S 10.

If memory serves me correctly (of which it may be faulty), I don't think that e-Sword ever had auto scroll capability.  I could be wrong, so I'm open to correction on this.

So, on that, If e-Sword should have auto scrolling capability, and its not working, then it could be a hardware issue, or that it could be a mouse driver issue. However, if auto scrolling does work in other Applications, i.e., word processors and etc and not in e-Sword, I think one can take it as read that e-Sword doesn't have that capability built into it, rather than "broken."

From my perspective, I've never used Auto Scrolling. Just use the bar on the side by simply dragging it up or down. A whole heap faster than Auto Scroll.

In where Auto Scroll works in software on my PC are:

  • Corel WordPerfect (yep, I love and use that program).
  • Quatro Pro (not that I use it, but its there)
  • LibreOffice Writer
  • LibreOffice Calc (Its there)
  • Firefox Web Browser

Software where Auto Scroll doesn't work on my PC

  • Corel Presentation (really love that program)
  • LibreOffice Draw
  • LibreOffice Impress
  • Visual Studio Code Editor
  • e-Sword

By testing what programs have and do not have the auto scroll function, I've simply come to the conclusion that not all of them have it, and some do have it, and as one can see, this includes the latest edition of e-Sword as one of those that doesn't have it (anymore).

From a programmers perspective, not having the auto scroll function simply means a few lines of less code one doesn't have to write. And if it means not having to write a few lines of  (unnecessary) code, then that's a good thing.

Tip: The scroll bar works really great, and its faster than the auto scroll.
