I'm using e-Sword version 11.0.6. I can left click on a verse, then right click on a bookmark, and all works well... until I restart my computer. Then everything reverts back to John 3:16. Thanks in advance for any help on this.

Hello, Timmatt

Your problem is a new one on me as I use the bookmark feature daily and have never experienced a problem like you mention. First thing I'd do is to back up the Documents\e-Sword folder and any purchased modules in Program Files\e-Sword or Program Files (x86)\e-Sword to *SEPARATE* folders on a flash drive, a CD or other external media. Then download Revo Uninstaller if you don't already have it and do a *complete* and *thorough* uninstall of e-sword, including stray files, registry entries, etc. Following this, reboot the PC, then download and reinstall the program. Don't worry, I use Revo Uninstaller on at least a weekly basis and have never experienced a problem. In fact, I use it anytime I'm going to uninstall a piece of software rather than merely using the one under Control Panel > Programs and Features as doing so solves a lot of problems for me and reduces useless and space-consuming HD bloat. Now copy back the backed up files *from* their respective folders on your backup medium *to* their respective folders on the hard drive. Fire up the program and keep your fingers crossed.

All that being said, you may wish to wait a day or so and see if better suggestions appear here. I don't claim to be an expert on much of anything! In fact, I've heard the word 'expert' defined as simply a drip under pressure. :)

Edited to add: Strike the phrase, "and any purchased modules in" above and just back up both folders in their entirety.
