That worked, thank you! How do you include your own headings?
You can create your own headings using e-Sword Tooltip
To have your own headings the headings need to be placed within the text of the verse that is immediately after the heading like this:
GEN 1:1 The Story of Creation.
In the beginning, when God created the heavens and the earth
At the end of the text of the heading use a soft break between the heading and the text of the actual verse.
If you have a situation where you might have both a heading for a bible chapter followed by a sub heading for section of the chapter you would do this:
GEN 2:4 I. The Story of the Nations
The Garden of Eden.
This is the story of the heavens and the earth at their creation. When the Lord God made the earth and the heavens—
This requires using two soft breaks, one after the chapter heading and one after the sub heading followed by the text of the verse.
Note you do not have to have the headings stacked up as I have shown above you can merge them into one line and use a single soft break a couple of examples of merging the heads are shown below:
The Story of the Nations: The Garden of Eden.
The Story of the Nations - The Garden of Eden.
Note: In my verse examples above I put the headings in bold text to set them off from the rest of the bible text so they would stand out in e-Sword. You don't have to use bold text it was just my personal preference. You can also have the headings in different colors to make them standout from the rest of the text.
e-Sword Tooltip allows you many options for displaying text in E-Sword so you can experiment if want to
