I have downloaded Dr.Peter Pett commentary among others and double clicked in Finder on iMac and the commentary associates with e-sword X but does not become available in e-sword X though some other downloads have. Any ideas?

You must not to do import in Finder, your file was disappear. Only in program e-sword x. To do normal: open "e-sword x", then FILE - recources - import.

I tried but unsuccessful for Pett, Barclay, and JFB commentaries. When doing file then resources then import all files are greyed and cannot be selected.

Are the commentaries in the correct format as there are two formats for files in E-Sword one format is for use with the Windows version of E-Sword those files have file extensions that end in X. The windows file extension for commentaries is .cmtx.

The file format for modules used in the Mac version of E-Sword have file extensions that end i, the file mac file extension for commentaries is .cmti

Yes, that is the problem. They are Windows versions. I see there is a conversion program out there named crossover, but I don't want to purchase it. I previously installed those particular commentaries into e-Sword HD on my iPad but don't remember how I accomplished that task. Any ideas?

There is a  windows to mac conversion tool at the E-Sword homepage for free:

http://www.e-sword.net/extras.html

The converter is at the bottom of the page linked above

Not sure about E-Sword HD

I will answer my own question. I used e-SwordHDModuleConvert to  change them into cmti form and then emailed the converted commentaries to my iPad which I will try again but now to my iMac.
