========================================
Version 3.41 - 10/21/2011
========================================
-- Update - Commentary Fill-in function. Now places fill-in links at the end of the CMTX database.

The Fill-in function for Commentary (CMTX) modules was added to fill in space between commentary entries. If you have created your own commentary, with few entries, the fill in function will point to the next comment or previous comment based on the currently selected verse in e-Sword. A downside of this is that the (!) notification on the commenary tab will always be turned on.

The new version of the commentary fill in works differently that the previous version. Previously, T3 would compare sequential records, and see if there was a gap, and then add a fill-in record. This was OK if all your records were sequential with no overlaps. With the addition of the optional multiple references per comment entry, and source files which have overlaps of references, the old fill-in method of T3 was not "perfect". Thus the this new update.

The new fill-in method works this way; the CMTX database is scanned for all verses with comments. This is then compared with all 31102 Bible verses (Apocrypha is not supported). All verses that do not have a reference is then processed and new fill-in links added. Once the verses that do not have comments is identified, they are placed in an Arithmetic Progressions, and then the links generated, to minimize the number of records needed. One record can cover a whole book if that book has no comments.

Additionally, T3 now puts all the fill-in records at the end of the database. This is so that the record forward and backward buttons in e-Sword will traverse the actual comments. The old method would traverse a comment, then a fill-in record, then a comment, then a fill-in. Now, if you are on a record with a comment, you will go to next comment. If you are in the fill-ins, you will traverse the fill-in records.

The bottom line, the Fill-in function should work better...

May God change our hearts to what the truth is

2Ti_2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Rom_9:16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

2Ti 2:24-25  And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

I have updated e-Sword Tooltip Tool (T3) to support the Apocrypha with Tooltips. This the first release, and I hope that I have not broken anything in the process. The books added are that supported by e-Sword: 1 Esdras, 2 Esdras, Tobit, Judith, 1 Maccabees, 2 Maccabees, 3 Maccabees, 4 Maccabees, Prayer of Manasseh, Wisdom, Sirach, Baruch.

Did you also include Psalm 151?

Hi BH,
I have been using your combine files feature often. It works great on my XP machine. It always crashes on the Vista machine when I try to select the folder where the files are located to be colmbined. Other tool tip features work great on my Vista machine. Can you think of why this might be happening?
Thanks for this amazing program.
Peter

Are the files you are trying to combine on your Vista machine in a protected location by User Access Control? If so, then put them in your Documents folder.

The desktop should be OK. When you say "Crash", does the program quit, or does it give you an error message? If an error, what is the error message?

When I display error messages in T3, I do not call the a "crash", but some condition has been encountered that T3 does not like, so it throws up an error message. They may at times be cryptic to the end user, but they are significant to me.

With e-Sword v10 Preview out it is hard to concentrate on other things. Too much fun!

========================================
Version 3.43 - 10/31/2011
========================================
-- Combine Files crashing on Vista and Windows 7 on some systems. XP appeared to work OK.
-- Bug - Added Spanish Uppercase letters to Bible verse search routine so tooltips

A bug that prevented Spanish names from tooltipping correctly, and tooltipping when they should not, was fixed by adding the appropriate Spanish uppercase letters to the Bible verse search routine.

Also, a bug that does not happen on my computer, but has happened on several other people's computer was identified and hopefully fixed. This happened in the routine used to combine files. Thanks to Josh for his patience while testing a number of debug routines!

A number of new capabilities in e-Sword v10 are not available in T3, such as the new table ability and other new formatting feature that e-Sword now has, and support for images in Topic and Note files. I'm aware of this, and to add this to T3 would require a significant amount of time, which I can not do at the present. Just an FYI.
