There are instructions for conversion from e-sword to mysword in this discussion thread:

Thank you

The module in question is esword 10. If I was looking at the converter on the other page correctly, its for versions 8 and 9.

If there is something I missed, any help would be appreciated.

The conversion process involves two steps first the E-Sword module has to be converted into the format for the the bible software known as The Word then from the Word to MySword format. Here are the links to download the two required conversion tools:

The Word to MySword converter:

http://www.mysword.i...migration-tools

E-Sword to The Word Converter:

http://www.theword.n...tools&l=english

The E-Sword to The Word converter is the most current version and should work with all module versions for e-sword except for possibly version 11

I have the current version of the importer and it says, "Supported: e-sword 8 and e-sword 9 files except from e-sword 9 bblx (Bible) files."

When trying to open the file anyway, it doesn't show up.

There is a work around I think might work for this problem. All E-Sword modules are created using a program called E-Sword Tooltip NT which can be downloaded from this website:

http://www.biblesupp...ooltip-tool-nt/

This tool is used to create all module formats for E-Sword.

According to the official website for the TheWord program the importer tool will accept and process RTF format files. E-Sword Tooltip NT can be used to create an RTF version of any E-Sword module.

To open an existing module in Tooltip you select Modules from the programs menu then the type of module from the modules menu. Each module type as an option for Tooltip to read the module and open it. Once you have the module open in Tooltip you then select File from the tooltip menu followed by Save As which will allow to save the open file as an RTF file. You should then able to import the RTF file into the Word's importer tool

i downloaded the most recent tooltip and am not seeing anywhere where I can open the refx file.

(I looked in the module and module hd)

If you could share with me what keystrokes have been successful for you to open the file, its greatly appreciated.

Thanks

George

Apparently refx files are protected so that tooltip cannot open them, my bad on this. The only other thing I can think of and this might be on the time consuming side but you could try doing a copy of paste of the text of the module from the E-Sword 10 reference library to Notepad in windows and then saving it as an rtf file from there

Thanks.

I have so far reached out to the original poster, but so far, no response.

I do not have esword. If you know of a way to copy or convert the file in question,, it would be greatly appreciated.

(Help from anyone is greatly appreciated)

Thanks

You might want to look at this program called Simple Bible Reader it is a reader converter for multiple bible software programs. According to the description it will read and convert e-sword book files (Topx/Refx) files and convert them for use on mysword:
