Added: the file is in the main e-sword folder but doesn't show in the topic drop down window.

Bereshith to Lekh Lekha.topx

In fact, none of the topx files display in the window.

You should be able to open the tile from the dropdown combobox at the bottom of the Topic Note editor. You also should be able to open the file from the dropdown combobox at the top of the Reference Library. Failing that, press Ctrl+Left Click the Topic Note Editor's page, and then click open. You should from the File Open Dialog see the file you want to open.

Thanks. We tried your suggestions and there seems to be an issue with the version we are running (9.1.1) as still nothing in the dropdown boxes. We will try a newer version.

Hi

You said that you are on e-Sword v 9.1.1?

I don't remember exactly when the 'Reference Library' was added to e-Sword but just in case...

Try clicking on the last icon in the main e-Sword toolbar (it looks like three books topgether).

This is where you should find any *.topx files that are installed in the mail e-Sword folder.

Depending on where the path is set to, the "drop down box" which is accessed from the bottom of the topic editor,  "May" not be showing the files in the main folder.

Mine, for instance, shows those files that are in the C:\Users\Roy\Documents\e-Sword folder.

You can do this. either check to see if a similar folder exists on your system and move the topic file there, restart e-Sword and see if you can find it, or....from the topic editor, Ctrl-Rt Click (Control-Right Click - that is, assuming you have not reassigned the mouse buttons... ;) ) in the topic editor, from the context menu choose open, and navigate to the e-Sword folder, and try opening the file that way.
