How do I uninstall bible versions from E-Sword? Paul

If you mean remove them from being displayed in esword you have to do the following:

Click Options from the menu at the top of esword anda drop down menu will appear

From the drop down menu click resource and the resource options window will open showing all of the modules that are viewable in esword.

There will be a list of bible modules installed on the left side resource options window and each bible has a check box next to it.

Uncheck boxes for the bible or bibles that you don't want to see in esword and they will no longer be viewable.

If you want to completely remove a module you will need to delete if from the esword program folder which will be found in your computer's Program Files folder

To delete from computer, just right click the one you want to delete in the "resource options" window, mentioned in above post, and left click on the only menu item shown.

I think KJV cannot be deleted.

KJV is useless for me, as I'm always using KJV+ together with many other versions. Sometimes I'm trying to clean my work space and I delete some unused bibles (Italian, Spanish, etc).

But e-Sword always put back KJV.

I think this is because KJV is part of the e-Sword package.

True you can't delete that one.

However you can clean things up by removing it from the display. Go to the main menu -> Options -> Resources.. Then uncheck the ones you don't want on the tabs.

Is there a way to uninstall a translation from my iPhone?  There was a new-to-me translation.  I downloaded it to take a look, and realize it will not be of much use to me, so I would like to remove it now from my phone to save space.  Is that possible?  Thanks.

Your iPhone should have a file manager app, and if not then you you will need to go to the app store and download and install one (Android devices has file manager called, "My Files").

So here is what you can do to remove a file you don't want using a file manager:

  • Once you have opened your phone's file manager go to the e-Sword folder

  • Open the folder, and scroll to the file you want to remove.

  • Select the file you want to remove, and on the tap the Delete icon to remove it.

Once done, close the file manager, and then you are home and hose.

Important thing to do as well: In the event you wish to use that resource at some point in the future, make a copy of that file and store it on an external device of one sort or another.

Blessings,

sorry about that. Your reply above was not showing up for me until I posted again.  I was sure that it had posted in the first place.

ok, I'm not real cluey, so I might be missing something here.  I know how to do what you have recommended on my PC - and that is very handy, but on my iPhone, I'm not having the same success.  I've tried the first two file managers recommended here (https://beebom.com/b...anagers-iphone/) which was the first site listed when I googled for that.  In neither one have I been able to find any program files such as this one for e-Sword.  Any further recommendations?

I know now to try out a new resource on my PC first before downloading it to my iPhone.  It would be nice if there were a way that those could be removed from within the e-Sword program.
