I would like to see a new Notes feature under the Editor page configured to Strong's Numbers possibly called "word notes" that would correspond to a dictionary module as Study Notes corresponds to a Commentary Module.

that is a great Idea we have a place for notes on verse(s) the (study notes) what you would like then would be a place for your notes on a word hence (word notes) having it follow the strongs number system just makes sense

this being a wish list for the next e-Sword Rick will decide what he wants to include all we can do is let him know what we would like to have

May God change our hearts to what the truth is

2Ti_2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Rom_9:16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

2Ti 2:24-25  And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;

I petty much follow what can be done with Strong's numbers in the editors, but I do not have an accessible list of Strong's numbers where additional information may be applied to each number.  I thought maybe a Strong's number list could be set similar to where the verse list is in the study notes even if it is not linked to all the various Bible entries or even appearing as a tool tip popup. Basically a notes place that could be pasted later into a Dictionary Module.

Maybe it still will not be possible, still the theory of theology continues to progress.

I don't know if whether or not you are a programmer. Whether a professional or an amateur/hobbyist is irrelevant. So, assuming you are, how do you propose this to be done?

I think e-Sword has reach the limit of its current programming language and I'm hoping Rick will switch to a language that is capable of doing the requested features and more

About the only real improvement(s) that need to be made, are the cross platform interoperability issues regarding the incompatibility of resource files. Currently resources for e-Sword PC not being able to be used on e-Sword HD, LT and X, and vice-versa.

Moreover, now with technologies, such as Xamarin used in VS 2015, using the C# (C sharp) language, will also simply coding e-Sword for iOS, Android, and Windows mobile devices. (This will be further simplified with next year's release of the Surface Phone.) As where e-Sword for PC, a cross platform version can be quite simply be written in C++ and using a cross compiler, compiled for Linux, Mac OS, and Windows.

A new version of e-Sword will be out very soon. There's always folks who wished they had a copy of the older install file after trying the new version. If you want a copy of the old version, you might want to go download it now. Once the new version appears, the older one will not be available anymore.
