Ok so I have taken freely from all of you and now I feel its time to put in effort on my part and give back to all of you. I have loads of stuff i would love to put into modules but I have no idea how to create a module. Can someone advice what software is required to create a module, and describe the process involved.
Many thanks and God bless,
Tony.
Hi Tony,
First, install ToolTip, available here. It's one way to create e-Sword modules. I've helped a number of people get started with making modules this way.
Tooltip comes with documentation but it's difficult to explain exactly which folder it will be in. So I'm going to attach the documents here. If you have any questions, post here or PM me. The full documentation and examples will appear in your My Documents folder under e-Sword Tooltip.
You can find it manually or clicking your Start button and enter this text in the search field: %userprofile%\documents\e-sword tooltip. If you can't find the folder, at least you have these PDF's to get you started. It's really not hard at all once you understand a few basics.
I thought about writing a tutorial for exactly how to get started, since I receive the same questions all the time. What confuses some new people is how Tooltip works. Tooltip is really a word processor and you can save your work as an rtf file (just like you would with Microsoft Word, which also uses rtf). Once you have a document like you want it, you can "compile" that document into an e-Sword module by choose Modules from the main menu and saving the resource as a particular module type (commentary, topic, dictionary, etc). Tooltip lets you do other things quickly, like converting verse references to the proper format e-Sword understands. That's a high level view of the program.

I've written some information that might be helpful.
Module Building - http://www.doctordav...obuildtopx.html
eSword Scripture ToolTip Tool (T3) - http://www.doctordav...structions.html
The T3 instructions are a little outdated, but still quite helpful. T3 will do even more now than when those instructions were written (about 18 months ago).

÷That would let you use a real division symbol instead of the placeholder your using. You can give it a shot and see if it works. In normal HTML it will work, if your editor will let you use it.

You have to use #define so forth and so on. And ÷(Set Mark) {set extra marks for books and chapters in cmt.
Please read this link carefully. Practice with trail and error - that is how I learned how to use T3.
Thanks
