How would I transfer my eSword program and all of the associated modules and files from my old computer to a new computer? The old computer is Windows XP and the new computer is Windows 10 if that plays any role.
Thanks,
Levi C

Copy the e-Sword *program* directory (typically "C:\Program Files (x86)\e-Sword\") onto the new PC as this will get your various modules transferred. You will still need to install e-Sword from its setup program to properly install the various system files, etc.
Also, you will want to copy the contents of your e-Sword *user* directory (typically "Libraries\Documents\My Documents\e-Sword\") to get your personal notes and other customizations transferred.

For the most part install programs do much more than putting the proper files in the right directories, they also do stuff like "register" the programs and set a bunch of "environmental" variables that the operating system needs to know so it can run the program. (Probably not explaining this well, I only have a rough idea whet all this entails).
That is why even though you copy the e-sword directory (or that of any other program) you still have to run the install program.

Do a clean install of e-Sword to the Windows 10 machine, copy all of the associated modules from the XP machine to a flash drive or CD/DVD and "paste" them into the proper e-Sword directory.

In my opinion you commit an error. Let's discuss it.
Hard to discuss error without defining it.

Perhaps so. But who is the "you" in your statement? And exactly what was the error?

"In my opinion you commit an error. Let's discuss it."
If you Google the above phrase, it appears that it is used to induce a person to PM the person. Maybe they are then getting set-up to be tricked into clicking a link etc
I think a moderator should check the person out.
