Regarding an Android version of e-Sword that is entirely up to Rick Meyers the developer of e-Sword he is the one who has created both e-Sword for Windows and Apple/Mac devices.

If you have e-Sword for Windows, you can purchase the premium modules and then convert them to MySword format using a small program called Simple Bible Reader

Would Simple Bible Reader be able to convert encrypted esword modules?  That would be great. Checking the simple Bible reader info, it says support e-sword 8.x or 9.x. Those are really old versions. Wonder if it still works. MySword can also import FREE esword modules which seems an unnecessary feature. The real issue is if encrypted premium e-sword modules can be converted.

In my experience, Simple Bible Reader is very much able to read and convert encrypted e-Sword modules. It will convert both old e-Sword modules (8.x) and newer e-Sword modules (9.x and higher) to many different formats. MySword is definitely one of the formats that it can convert to.

For loading e-Sword and TheWord modules into MySword on Android, I suggest that you read the latest information on their own website.
HISTORY - You can read a post by Doctor Dave Thomason, which he wrote after MySword version 11.1 was released 2020-06-12. Read here at http://doctordavet.c...111_update.html DoctorDaveT explains which e-Sword modules, (the ones which are not encrypted), can probably be transferred to your Android device, and work, because of MySword having built a module converter into their software. You can contact DoctorDaveT at dave@doctordavet.com
Dave explains: So How Does This Work?
1. Download and install modules for eSword and theWord like you always have.
2. Open a file explorer window and navigate to your modules
3. Plug your phone into your computer via USB
4. Open a second file explorer window and navigate to your phone’s “Internal Storage / MySword” folder.
5. Drag and drop!
So now you can take all of your favorite study materials (bibles, commentaries, and dictionaries) and your reading materials (devotionals and books) with you on the go - no outside conversions necessary.
Dave concludes: The nice folks at MySword have done an outstanding job with this update. Thanks guys! Here’s to hoping other software engineers catch the vision of seemless materials across multi-platforms!
History moves on: Since then mySword version 12.1 was released 2021-06-10. The news is listed on https://www.mysword.info/news
To find out how to load this, read from the MySword website at https://mysword.info
Different access is provided, depending on your donation generosity to them. They provide details.
Information from Olaf Bacon 2021-07-16.

Hi,

I use e-sword on my laptop and am very excited about a lot of the things that I can do with it that I have not been able to do easily with my Quick Verse software.  I first purchased the QV software in 1998 and updated it every year up until the year that Lifeway bought it, but enough about that.

I have a Samsung Tablet that uses the Android operating system and I wondered if there is an e-sword version that will run on it?  I'm sure there are others who would love to be able to use it on their tablet when they are teaching, speaking or preaching.

If anyone has any information on this, I sure would appreciate it.

In my Lord's service,

Jim Reynolds

It appears that there is an Android version of e-Sword in PlayStore. I am sure that it is an answer to someone's prayer.

Odd there is no mention of the Android version on the official e-Sword website and my Android device could not locate it to download it

Perhaps you need to refresh your browser page.

Look in the downloads section of the official e-Sword site.
