e-Sword Menu Installer

Well I guess this is the section where the e-Sword Installer Menu program belongs, so this is where I will put it.
Firstly, I want to thank those of you who've thus far downloaded this program and are using it as part of your CD/DVD distribution.
OK now that bit is over, here is the rest.
I am interested in any feedback and thoughts you may have regarding this program of how you think I can improve on it. Its all very well for me to think that I've done a fantastic job on it, but what I think may not cut the mustard for the end user. So this is very important if I am to enhance and/or improve on it. So whatever you do, don't be shy and backward in coming forward to give me your thoughts and comments.
Perhaps the most important thing is the understandability of the help file. How are you finding it when it comes to preparing your CD/DVD compilation? In the "File List" Dialog window (via the About Dialog), is the list of file names helpful for you? Also, in regards to the Help documentation, are there any improvements that can be made to it, or anything you find is not understandable or confusing?
Blessings,
Stephen (Php 1:21).

Stephen, you did a real nice job on you program, but I wsh to be able to pass out specific resource modules only and have them install from the CD/DVD from the program menu, not have them have to use a third party route.
If anyone knows where a free custom menu installer can be found please let me know?

can you make it where we can custom install our own chose of modules to pass around?
Hi Will,
Sorry, I don't know how to and I don't know if its programmably possible. That is why I've got Explore CD/DVD button
I've been trying to figure it out of how that can be done programmably, and at the moment I haven't found the solution. It took me three years to figure out how to programmably have Windows Explorer to open at the root of where the menu program is located (the removable drive) without knowing what the end-user's assigned removable drive letter is.
If anyone knows where a free custom menu installer can be found please let me know?
I personally don't think you will find one like that, especially to the extent that ESIM goes to. To write a customizable menu program in where there are a great deal of unknown variables would be almost an impossible task. There would have to be predetermined conventions by which all would be required to follow in order for a name to be assigned to the menu item, and etc.
The variables I've assigned to ESIM are predetermined to what is known, and the conventions required by those wishing to use this program as part of their CD/DVD distro is a uniformity of the official resources and modules filenames', and folder names to where these executables are to go. This is by far the simplest and best method to use. To try to figure out what is unknown, and try to determine where others place them in order for the program to read and run the executable would just be a programmer's worst nightmare and end up looking like this.

The e-Sword Installer Menu is primarily a front end menu program that starts up on the autorun.ini file when you've inserted a CD or DVD. The core role of the program is just to install e-Sword and a couple of other e-Sword support files, like the tutorials and the manual. That is basically it. The additional toolbar for the context menu to have to install the official e-Sword resources only came as an afterthought. I could have just as easily left the toolbar option out.
The whole idea is so that people who simply likes give away e-Sword can also include e-Sword's official free resources and modules on the CD/DVD. That is the extent to which I had written the program. Of coarse there are those who would like to add their own files as well, but that is not a possibility for me to add that to this program.
I have written a far more extensive version of this type of program which includes all the modules I give away on the menu, and it's not customizable for the end user (See Below)

Now, if you wish me to write you a customized version which includes all the files you want to add to your CD/DVD compilation, then that is an entirely different story. But the one that I've uploaded here is set primarily for e-Sword, and its official resources and modules.

Stephen (Php 1:21).

Just a bit of a notification about the next version of ESIM. This version will be released when the Rick releases the new version of e-Sword as a full version. Also the PowerPoint presentation will be totally updated, and it will be included with the e-Sword Installer Menu. It will have its own zip file, and will be added into the new ESIM zip file.

- Ability to either run the full installer or the upgrade installer for e-Sword 10.1
- When clicking on the e-Sword button, an Install dialog comes up where the user has the choice to run the full or upgrade installation program.
- setup1010.exe
- update1010.exe
