To find where your resources are, both common and personal;

From within e-Sword main menu go to Options -> Resources. There you will see the resource path at the bottom of that window.

If memory serves the journal files are saved as journals.jnlx, (Journal notes) and study.notx ( study notes) if those are the notes you are looking for.

If you did much "marking up" like highlighting, underlining and so on you might look for markup.ovlx.  

I'm not certain how well those travel/translate, but it is worth a shot.

Hello All,

Am looking for a way to backup all of the highlights and notes I have made in e-Sword 11.2.2.  I have searched for a way to backup or export within the program.  Have not found it yet.

In the mean time I just copy these 3 directories to my NAS.  Then I have a daily backup of my NAS to my iDrive account.

C:\Users\"user name"\Documents\e-Sword

C:\Users\"user name"\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\e-Sword

C:\Program Files (x86)\e-Sword

This seems a little awkward and stilted given the elegance of the program.  Would there be a more knowledgeable user that can confirm 1. Where the highlights are stored, 2.  Is there a more elegant or less time consuming method of backing up.
