I believe it can be used on a Kindle Fire. You have to download it from the web browser at www.mysword.info to use. As far as I know it is not in the amazon market.

That is correct. mySword is not in the Amazon App store, and needs to be installed through third party apk available at the mySword web site (just click download through the Kindle Silk web browser). Be sure to enable third party apps by clicking the settings (gear icon on top) then More then click Device then turn on "Allow Installation of Applications".

Then, to install modules, hook your Kindle up via usb and navigate to SDCard>mysword>bibles or (books, commentaries, dictionaries, etc...) folder to copy and paste your modules into it.

You know, doing this kind of thing certainly is an added kind of bonus because it means one doesn't have to buy an extra Android Tablet especially if one has a Kindle reader or something similar which also runs Android.

As a matter of interest, just how simple or awkward is it to install on a Kindle machine rather than an Android tablet or Galaxy Note and etc?

As easy as on a tablet. Just allow the option to install third party apps in the settings as I've described above, then go to the mySword web site and click on the download and Kindle will pop up a box and say Do you want to install this? Choose yes and there you have it.

Just curious, why was my post deleted. I posted before Ryan and it appeared, next time I clicked on the thread it was gone.

Not big deal, just wondering.

It happens with about 1 in 5 posts that I make, they appear on my screen then next time I go to the thread it is not there :-)

Will try to be more observant as to the situation next time.

You are correct that esword will not work on the kindle.  My kindle 3g are you talking about the black and white version or is it a kindle fire (color)?
