e-Sword HD has been updated. In addition to the [Installed] and [Download] selection choices there is also a [User Group] selection, The latter will be alphabetized by author. Currently only B (Broadus), I (Ironside), M (Meyer & Murry) and P (Pink) have anything to choose from with Ironside having the most from which to choose. Enjoy folks!

@Josh Bond:
If it is possible, ask for Rick to create more bibles modules, please.
I know most of e-sword HD users are in US and, because of that, the bible versions are in english or spanish. But it'll be very fine other languages to download (portuguese-br, in my case).

Someone said before here on thread about "Corrigida Fiel" bible version (PT-BR). It is very good option, with no copyrights. ;)

Why not just use the in app (e-sword) question mark which gives you the above link to send Rick directly your feedback, questions, suggestions, praise, etc. I have.

Android has 1.3 million new device activations per day. The sheer size of the Android user base is one reason MySword has such a large following, even though it lacks premium content. Apple has 515,000 activations per day.

Hi Josh,

Ta for correcting me on that. That's the kind of info I got from Code Project, its that I couldn't remember the data.

It's the PC vs Mac desktop computer war all over again, in a sense.

Yeah, looks like it ay.

Again, mate, thanks for putting me right on the data.

Unfortunately the Esword HD for iPad is no different than the dozen or so other Bible apps out there for the iPad, a few free books and option to pay for better ones. Why no access to commentaries and dictionaries on Bible Support? Too bad because it could have been different and #1 like it's Windows and Android counter part. I regret that I paid to download it, because the other equal quality Bible apps are free! Oh well, better than nothing.

This site should support Crosswire's iPad app, Pocket Sword. e-Sword HD is basically just a copy of Pocket Sword, the interface is nearly identical. There's a problem with resources being formatted inconsistently. And a problem with modules that don't use Pocket Sword's features. But those are module problems. But the app is great. You already have your own content. Bring it to Pocket Sword format ... and even host your own repository ... or let people download modules from here. Whatever works.

Plus, the iphone version:

The apps are free.

Best of all: We're easy to get along with.

Think about it.

I, too, use Crosswire's Pocket Sword and find it very useful. My only beef is the lack of modules (I'm spoiled by this site). I would love to be able to access the modules from Esword or theWord.

That idea has been tossed around since at least 2007, but it seems that those in charge at the sword are leery to create a convertor for e-Sword databases to Sword format because of the:

1. low quality of some modules
2. concerns of copyright violations if some modules are converted which were not in public domain, and not licensed by the sword project with the publisher for use on their software.

This is what I understand of the process so far.

Rick answered both of my questions when I asked. And based on his answer, I no longer hope to see a host of commentary and dictionary modules from Bible Support on the e-sword app. I have the Logos Bible app so it doesn't matter to me so much as others who would love to do Bible study on the e-sword app and want more commentaries and dictionaries. If e-sword would include more from Bible support, then it would be positioned mid-range among iPad Bible apps, IMHO. Now, the choice is either the lower end or the higher end-expensive Bible app. I think if more commentaries and dictionaries (especially those that are semi-technical) were offered free, then it would be positioned in the middle. These are my opinions.
